December 4 6;00; Ashley

"Have fun Ashley." My mom yells as i shut the door.

Even if she isn't my real mom, I still lover her with all my heart and I treat her like my own family. Before Destiny's death, I always called her my mom since mine was never around to actually do things with me.

"Thanks mom!" I yell and shut the door.

I unlock my car door and swing it open. I climb inside the car, first putting my wallet in the passenger seat and then sitting down in the drivers side. I shut the door and turn the ignition on to turn the heat up.

I started to drive as carefully as I can into the high school so I won't get into a car crash, and thankfully I made it there without a single scratch. Let's hope that every time that I do drive, I won't get a single scratch also.

I hop out of my car and take my wallet with me so I'm able to buy food from the consession, and I continue to walk through the school to get all the way to the other side where the football field is.

I open the door and a chilly breeze hits my body. I shiver at the cold touch prickling at my warm skin and I put my cardigan on my torso. I continue to walk further and further and I see Matt on the side of the locker rooms sitting down with his knees pulled to his chest.

I start to quicken my pace when I see Matt's figure become larger and I soon start to jog. I bend my knees to get my eye level with his and his head lifts up.

Matt's eyes didn't show fire or anything. It showed fear actually. And never have I ever seen him in this kind of state.

"Matt," I breathe. "You don't seem to look okay." I say and tilt his chin up slightly higher.

"I'm really scared Ash." He says.

"Why are you scared?" I say and take a seat right next to him.

"I-I don't really know. Maybe it's because If I lose this game, I'll let the entire school down." He says.

"Matt, You'll never let me down or anyone else down. If you at least try your hardest, I'm sure you won't let anyone down." I say and he dips his head lower to where my shoulder is and rests his head there.

"I don't know. I'm really nervous. What if something bad happens?" Matt asks.

"Matt, don't be nervous. you'll do fine. If anything happens, I'll help you alright?" I say and brush his uncut hair out of his face. He was beginning to wear it down every single day instead of putting it into a quiff.

"What about tomorrow?" Matt asks.

"I'm the understudy remember? If anything happens I will fill in your spot."

"But my spot is the hardest one do you think you can handle it?" He stutters do to his nervousness.

"Matt, I got it okay? Don't worry about tomorrow, don't worry at all. You'll do fine. Have faith in yourself."

"O-okay." He nods his head and puts his mouth guard in his mouth and puts his football helmet on.

I give Matt a hug and rub his back to try and ease his nervousness and I hope it worked. He was extremely nervous about tonight especially because it was state championship and the competition was tomorrow. Matt kept on stuttering tonight and his hands were shaking a lot. I hope he'll be alright. I don't want him to be hurt.

I let go of Matt and I send him a small smile before I walk up the bleachers. I fix my cardigan so the sleeves cover the palms of my hands and I exhale into my hands to get warmth.
