Chapter 9

Natsu put his hand on the small of my back and we walked out onto the red carpet which was swamped with celebrities, but the person that caught my eye was Lisanna. Natsu's ex, she was stunning her blue dress went perfectly with her skin tone and really made her eyes pop. "Natsu over here" a man with a microphone shouted as people with cameras crowded around us. at the sound of Natsu's name Lisanna's ears perked up and she spun around in our direction 

"Is this your girlfriend? It's only been 14 Months since you and Lis broke up"

"No, I'm his friend. Him and Lis have gone their separate ways can't you respect that." I blurted out after Natsu hasn't responded

"You're that girl that was out with him 2 weeks ago"

"Yes I am, moving on" this time I pulled Natsu, I couldn't stand there anymore but I have to keep my composure, only a few more yards until the cameras are gone.

"Natsu can we get a pose?" a camera man shouted waving towards us. 

Natsu and I walked over to him and quickly posed before we got bombarded with more questions "Who are you and who are you wearing" a woman ran over to me shoving a microphone into my face.

"I'm Lucy, and this is Jovani" I smiled.

"WELL the mystery girl gets a name, and must I say such a beautiful name for a beautiful girl." she announced "Natsu sure knows how to pick them" she laughed as Natsu had a blank stare on his face. Luckily we only had a few more stops before we could go sit and get a drink. 

right before we walked off the carpet Natsu spun me around and kissed me in front of every single camera, it wasn't a small peck it was a big sloppy open mouthed kiss."That'll give them some questions" he smirked then walked off pulling me behind him. 

"Oh Natsu what the player you are, you do know that Lis will see that right?" a feminine voice said from behind us

"Evergreen?" I stuttered starstruck.

"In the flesh" she smiled and waved down her body "And you are?"

"I'm Lucy Heartfillia, big fan I absolutely adore your work" I smiled sticking my hand out. She looked at it for a few seconds before shaking it and rolling her eyes

"Are you trying to scout for talent or find a mentor? cause I can't help nor do I want to" she scoffed

"No, not at all. I'm actually a writer" I stuttered right as she walked away "Natsu, she hates me"

"You'll be fine now, to our seats it's going to start soon" He shrugged pulling me to where the man directed us before, we never caught his name but I don't think Natsu really cares about that so I won't ask. 

As soon as we stepped near him he escorted us to the venue and to our seats. Natsu immediately got up and went to the bar for our drinks. We sat at a round table facing the stage, all the other seats at the table had place cards and were slowly being filled by other business men and a few singers. The seat next to me was still empty so I leaned over and looked at the card LISANNA was written in bold font in the center of the card. "I think this is my seat" she giggled pulling the card out my hand and sitting next to me. "Hi, I'm Lisanna but everyone calls me Lis" she's such a bubbly person, it amazes me how her and Natsu were in a relationship for 6 years. 

"I'm Lucy, everyone just calls me Lucy " I joked  shaking her hand as a drink was placed in front of me. "thanks"

"You know him?" Lis said the smile wiping off her face. I nodded slowly before she pulled me up "Bathroom be right back" then dragged me to the bathroom with her. "Lucy be careful please. He's a great guy he really is and when you get to know him he's the sweetest person on the planet but he's had sex with a lot of people and those people get really attached really quick and they will hate you and your relationship with him. Trust me I've been there and it sucks"
