I get back to my apartment and just let out a huge sigh. It's been a long day and I'm ready for bed, but unfortunately I still need to unpack. I've been here awhile now and I'm still not fully unpacked. Maybe a part of me wonders if I'm gonna have to up and leave again. I really don't want too. I'm finally starting to build my life here. A life without fear. I haven't known that in forever. So this is so nice. I really don't want anything to fuck that up. I refuse to let my past dictate my future.

I unpacked a bit more. I lost track of time because I got lost in my music. I heard my phone go off and it startled me. I completely forgot I gave my number out to Cam and Ella. Usually it's only my mom texting or calling to check in on me and make sure I'm okay. So I check it to let her know that I am doing fine and school has finally started back up for me. I know she was worried that I wouldn't go back. But here I am killing it. Making new friends. I know she will freak when I tell her. She will have a million questions about my new friends too, but she worries after everything with Jett. I grab my phone to see who is texting me. I see Cams name pop up on my screen. I smile. I sit down to read his texts.

Cam: Hey Ivy. I hope I'm not bothering u. I just got home from school and thought I'd check in to see how your doing.
I smile as I read his text. That was awfully nice of him to check in with me. I reply back.
Me: Hey hun, I'm doing okay. I just did some unpacking. I should do some of my homework. Thankfully nothing is due for awhile LOL.
I send my text and I go make myself something to eat. I realized sitting here i haven't ate. I didn't eat at lunch time. I think because my nerves were on edge. Meeting new people always makes me nervous. I blame my history with Jett but I know it will get better. I walk into my kitchen and start making a pizza. I hear my phone go off. I grab and see it's Ella texting.

Ella: Hey girlie. How's it going?
                        Me: it's going pretty good. Just making dinner. How about you?
Ella: I'm good. Bored right now. Hanging out with Cam and James. James had a girlfriend this morning but then he broke up with her. Now he's talking about some girl he met that he thinks he likes. I can't keep up.
I laugh as read Ella's text. She has the heart of a saint.
Me: He sounds like an interesting, confusing person. I don't think I could keep up with it.
Ella: If you stick around, you'll get use to it. Anyway, Cams being shy and won't ask you this. But wanna chill with the three of us tomorrow? You can meet James finally lol.
Me: Sure. I'd love too.
We text back and forth for a bit. I eat my dinner. I watch some tv and then go take a shower. I decide to call it a day and head to bed.
