Best Friend part two- Read with caution

       A few weeks have passed and James is finally home now. He's currently living with me at the moment. It was his idea and his therapist agreed that it would be for the best. So Ella moved in too. I was thankful my house was big enough. Sin wasn't thrilled with James living with me but he understood that James is my best friend and he needs me right now.I refuse to let my best friend down in his time of need. I set him up in my bedroom with me. Was it the best idea? Probably not, Is it going to cause a lot of issues in my relationship with Sin? Probably but right now James came first.  We cuddled a lot of the time when we slept. I didn't sleep much. We were on summer break now so school wasn't an issue.

    One night James and I just sat there talking before bed. "Jewels?" He asked. I looked up at him trying to read his face and what he wanted. "Yes bunny? What's up?" He looked me dead in the eyes and said "I love you. You are my best friend and I am not sure where I'd be if I didn't have your help during this time. I feel lost, Miserable and unsure of everything but being around you makes everything seem it's going to be better even if it doesn't." I teared up at this because I was worried I wasn't doing enough for him or I wasn't there enough for him because there were a few times I left him with Ella so I could spend time with Sin. I held him tight and answered " I love you too bunny. You'll never have to find out what it's like without me because I am here for you."

    The next few weeks went by fast, We had a routine. James said he would love to move in here permanently and help me with bills. I accepted him being my roommate. Over the last few weeks, We did pretty much everything together. Except when I would take time to be with Sin. He finally came around to having James at the house. He knew we shared a bed and nothing was going on. My best friend needed me. It was amazing seeing James turn from being so depressed to laughing and having fun. I'm grateful he knew that he needed help with his depression and it was okay to ask for help.

    It was my birthday and James planned my party, Well him and Ella did. It was suppose to be a surprise but he's horrible at keeping them. So he ended up telling me about it. He was so excited when he told me. We got to his house and everyone yelled surprise. James was on cloud 9. I went to go sit down and Sin came by me. He gently gave me a kiss "Happy birthday Princess." He said. I smiled at him and said "Thank you baby. Also thank you for being so understanding about James lately." Sin smiled. " He's not that bad and he needs you so I understand." He said. I hold his hand and look at him, "I know but most people wouldn't be okay with this. I know it's a lot to take in."I said. "It is a lot because I'm a jealous person but i trust you." He said with a smile. We sat there and talked for awhile.

     My party was amazing. It was the best birthday I've ever had in my entire life. Once we got back home, It was just James and I. We cuddled up on my couch watching a movie and eating ice cream. " Thank you so much for today. It was the best birthday I've ever had." I said. James grinned and jumped up. He went to get something from our room. I was confused on what he was doing. He came back down and handed me this box. He cuddled back by me and said " OPEN IT!" he exclaimed. I giggle and open up the box. There was a note. It read

Jewels, You are my best friend and I am so thankful for having someone so kind, caring, thoughtful, beautiful, amazing. I could go on. We've had our ups and downs since being in each others lives. I had to have this gift made for you because it's like you. One of a kind. I hope you like it. I love you James.

    I have tears in my eyes as I read his note with my gift. I smile at him as I start opening the gift. It's this beautiful locket with my nickname engraved on it. I open it up and see one of the pictures Jame and I did together after he got home from the hospital.  I ask him to help me put it on. "This is so beautiful! You had this made just for me?"I asked. " Yes because you deserve something that's like you. One of a kind. So I thought you'd love this. Everyone else's gifts were decent but mines better because it's from me. I'm grateful I have you in my life as my best friend. You've never once given up on me even when I tried to push you away, You never gave up. You have the heart of a true Jewel and I am so lucky to have you in my life." He said. I hugged him tight and kissed his cheek. This was the best birthday ever and I have the best friend ever.
