Something Gained

Missing.

                 Sin got off the phone with Ella, he looked over at me and sighed."Baby, your house was broken into overnight. Nothing was taken except James is missing. There....." Sins voice trailed off as he saw me crying. He came over and held me. I didn't realize how bad I was shaking until Sin held me. I sat there in a daze as he told me what was going on. All of a sudden we heard a bang on the door. Sin put his hand over my mouth so I wouldn't scream. Sin walked over to the door with a gun in his hand, I sat there shaking. He looked through the peephole. I saw him relax a bit as he opened the door. I saw him give someone a hug. He closed the door behind him as I saw Cam walk in. I jumped up in his arms the best I could being pregnant. " Have they found him? Where you followed? What happened!?!?" I cried out. Sin and Cam sat me down. Sin started rubbing my back, calming me down.

Cam looked at me with worried eyes as he reached out holding my hand. "angel, they are thinking that maybe James is dead. There was blood but they can't find your ex either. They aren't sure yet who's blood that was. Right now it could be either your ex or James'" Cam said. I heard him talking, but I could no longer focus on what exactly he was saying. I sat and rubbed my swollen belly. Trying not to freak out that my daughter might grow up not knowing her father. I mean I know Sin will be there but James won't get to see her grow up. I know Sin could tell I wasn't okay because I suddenly felt his arms around me, he was pulling me into him. I instantly started to relax a bit. "Princess, are you okay? You completely zoned out there." He said. I looked at him as I tried to smile " I don't know baby. I just got lost in thought. Thinking of how James won't know his daughter if he's..." I trailed off on my words. I didn't want to think your worst. Sin just held me " I know princess but he will make it. This little girl is going to be so loved by so many people. She's going to have two dads who love her so much." He said as he comforted me.

          We sat there what felt like hours. I kept my phone off as I terrified my ex would track me. I finally felt somewhat safe. Sin never left my side except to make food, or go to the bathroom. Even then he wasn't gone long. He spent the day setting up cameras throughout the property to keep us safe. I was having Braxton Hicks. He had me resting. We called the doctors and they said I probably overdid it and to rest, as much as I could. The police kept calling Sin to talk to me since my phone was off. I was so scared we were going to be found. I kept thinking of James. Was he okay? Was he alive? I laid there thinking about him as I felt our daughter kicking and moving away in my belly. "hey little girl. You are being such an active little one aren't you?" I smile as I rub my belly feeling her move. She kicked me really hard and I laughed as I felt it. Such powerful kicks. Sin came in as I was smiling. He came over and placed his hand on my belly. "Princess, would you want kids with me? Do you think I'd make a good father?  I mean I know she's not biologically mine." He said. His tone sounded sad. I felt bad being pregnant with another mans child. " Baby, you are going to be an amazing father. We will have kids together. You know she wasn't planned right? I don't regret her but it wasn't planned." I said as I rubbed Sins hand.  He looked at me and smiled. "I know princess.  James and I talked it out. I was angry when I came back. But I love you."  We kissed until suddenly we heard glass breaking. We both jumped. I tried not to scream. Suddenly the lights were out. I was so scared. Then I felt a thud.
