Pick yourself up

I'm not sure how long I sat there crying but it must have been awhile. Cam ended up leaving because he had class. Thankfully I was somewhere that no one could really find me. I hear "IVY PICK YOUR ASS UP AND STOP YOUR DAMN CRYING!" I look up to see Ella standing there. I wipe my tears. Ella helps me up and gives me a hug, "Cam told me everything that happened. I told James I wanted to kill him,but then he said I always want to kill him. Which I mean it's not a lie." Ella said. We both laughed. I swallowed before I spoke, "Is it true he's never been in love? I know you and him dated. He never loved you?" " Nah, he didn't and I knew that. He loved me like family. But that relationship love, he's never had before. Not even with Lana. He thinks he did but deep down he knows that he didn't. I think that's why he's acting out because he might be in love with you and it honestly scares him." Ella said.
I stood there trying to wrap my head around what she was saying to me, how could he be in love with me? I don't get it. I must have gotten lost in thought again because Ella cleared her throat, I blushed and bit my lip. "Sorry, I got lost in thought again." I said. Ella just laughed and replied "yeah I figured you did because you get this far away look about yourself when your deep in thought. I'm guessing you were trying to figure how Or why James is in love with you." I stopped dead in my tracks and looked at her with my mouth wide open. "Are you a mind reader or some shit? That's exactly what I was thinking." Ella just smiled " Nah I read people's body language. If you haven't realized that I'm an observer. I'm quiet at times. People have pegged that as being rude. But it's because I'm observing the person to get to know them better. People don't realize that body language is key. Not many people really pay attention to it."
The thing is, she has a really good point. Not many people really do pay attention body language. "You are right. I don't think people really take that extra step or measure. " I said. "They really don't. It's how I've always been though. My older brother Brayden told me urs important to read people that way because you never know what they are gonna be hiding. Liars for example will move around and avoid eye contact." Ella said. She spotted James and I hid. She called him over. I decided to observe his body language. I couldn't hear what they were saying because I was out of ear shot. From watching him, he seemed uneasy,nervous. He was looking for something or someone. Lana showed up and he seemed annoyed she was there by his body language. He kissed her and basically groped her.
I got angry and walked away. I sent Ella a text saying I had to go. I wonder if he knew that I was there and that's why he did it. Sounds like an asshole move he'd pull. Like he could sense me without seeing me. I walked home. The walk felt nice. I saw Cam standing there smiling as I got to my door. He hugged me as I got close. "What are you doing here?" I asked him. He hugged me and gave me a kiss on my cheek. "Ella said you took off angry because of Lana and James. So I wanted to come check on you." I hugged him tight and gave him a quick kiss. "That's sweet of you. I guess it just rubbed me the wrong way for some reason and I'm not sure why." I said with a shrug. He half smiled me at me as we walked into my house. Just as we were walking in, I saw James drive past my house.  He looked angry as he saw Cam. I'm not sure why I felt bad but I did. I shut my door and walked in. I turned around and saw Cam standing there, I jumped because I wasn't expecting to see him standing there.
             I took a deep breathe and tried to relax myself. He bit his lip as he stared at me. I felt goosebumps forming on my skin as he stared. I felt like a snack or something. " sorry Angel. I didn't mean to scare you."  I looked him and said " It's fine. Your fine." He leaned down and his lips brushed mine as we kissed. Suddenly his phone rang. He cursed under his breath. He answered his phone. He hung up and ran out the door. I stood there unsure of what just happened. Then I saw it.
