Ember was a mess after she found out Angie didn't want time with her anymore. She clung to Olivia for dear life as Trevor went downstairs to get drunk. Adalee and Ainsley came into the room and helped to console their sister because they didn't really know what else to do. Everything was just a little messier than usual in their lives right now.

"She's asleep." Olivia breathed, as she came downstairs and walked into the kitchen.

"Good," Trevor mumbled before taking another long drink from his beer.

"Trev, can you not drink right now? I know that you are angry, but I'm not in the mood to take care of your drunk and angry ass."

"I'm not in the mood for you to tell me what to do. Just grab a few beers yourself and shut up." Trevor grumbled. Olivia eyed him in disbelief before shaking her head.

"I'm pregnant, Trevor. Did you forget? Or are you just a complete asshole tonight?" Olivia spat. She moved over and grabbed the beer from him before pouring it down the sink.

"Okay, I don't want to deal with you. So just grab me-"

"You will not tell me what to do, Trevor Langan! I know you are angry, but I'm your wife and I demand respect! Angie made her choice, and all we can do is accept it and help Ember through this time!" Olivia yelled. She went to stomp out of the kitchen, but Trevor stopped her by grabbing her waist.

"I just don't want to see our daughter hurt again. After everything she has gone through, she is losing her mother again."

"But this time she won't be without a mother. I'm here. I will help her. I love that girl, and I wish that I was her biological mother." Olivia mumbled.

"I know, and I'm so thankful for you. I'm sorry, Liv... I really am." Trevor breathed. Olivia swallowed hard before nodding slowly.

"Why would you ask me to grab a beer?" Olivia breathed.

"Because I'm an asshole... I don't want our baby to get hurt." Trevor spoke, before running his hand over his wife's stomach.

"Em will be alright, Trev. She's strong."

"I hope so..." Trevor whispered.

Ember was angry and upset for a few weeks, but she eventually got used to the idea of always being with her family. She got to spend every night with her sisters, brother, and parents. She loved being involved in everything, which made the hard change a little easier.

"Daddy?" Ember asked quietly one night, about a month after the whole accident happened. They were a month short of finding out what the next baby was going to be, and five weeks short of a trip to Boston for Ember's birthday.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Trevor whispered since Olivia was sleeping beside him with her arms wrapped around her bump.

"Can we talk?" Ember breathed.

"Of course. C'mere." Trevor spoke. He shifted closer to Olivia so Ember could sit beside him.

"So, would you be okay if I invited my mother on our trip to Boston?" Ember asked, and Trevor's eyes went wide.

"What?"

"Angie sent me a message and we talked tonight. She and I were talking about my birthday and if I had plans. I'm turning 14, Dad... and I'd like her to celebrate with us."

"Em, are you sure? And I can't say yes until I talk to your Momma." Trevor spoke, as he looked over his shoulder and saw that Olivia had shifted a bit and was just barely snoring.

"Momma said yes," Ember spoke, and Trevor looked at his daughter in confusion.

"She said yes? So you talked to her before you talked to me?"

"Momma is more understanding than you, Daddy. Clearly." Ember spoke. Trevor went to reach over and wake his wife up, but Ember stopped him.

"Em, I don't know."

"Daddy, please just think about it. Talk to Momma about it... but don't wake her up right now. Let her sleep."

"I don't want her to-"

"If you are up all night, it's no big deal. But if she's up all night, she'll feel horrible. Just think about it." Ember spoke. She kissed her father's cheek before slowly moving from the room. Once the door was closed, Trevor laid back down and looked at his wife and just shook his head.

Olivia woke up the next morning and found her husband sitting up beside her. She smiled as she sat up slowly and went to kiss him but he stopped her.

"Lady, we need to talk." He huffed.

"Lady? Well, that's a new one." Olivia laughed.

"When did Ember talk to you about having Angie join us on the trip to Boston?" Trevor asked, and Olivia scrunched up her face before sighing.

"Okay, so I only knew for a week."

"A week?!" Trevor exclaimed.

"I told our kid that if she wanted to have Angie join us, we both had to be okay with that. She said she'd ask you eventually, and I guess last night was as soon as she could do it."  Olivia breathed. She climbed out of bed before padding across the carpet and towards the bathroom as she ran her hand over her forehead.

"I wish you would have talked to me before getting her hopes up!"

"Trevor, it's not hard to play nice! Angie is the woman that gave birth to Ember. If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't have that amazing girl. So don't you think we should at least play nice for a week? And it's Boston. It's not like she's spending a week here with us." Olivia sighed, as she started up the shower.

Trevor climbed out of bed before quickly moving into the bathroom as his wife grabbed her toothbrush.

"It's still our trip. We have been planning this for months, but you had to just go and mess it up." Trevor huffed, and Olivia laughed bitterly in response.

Trevor stood in the doorway as Olivia finished brushing her teeth before stripping down to take a shower.

"You know what, Trevor?!" Olivia spat, as she pushed the shower curtain to the side.

"What?" He grumbled.

"Give Angie your ticket. I don't want you to join us in Boston if you are going to act like a big baby. It's supposed to be a good trip, not a stressful one."
