Rui's Pov

I hurriedly rushed to my class, leaving me to stumble upon many who were before me and a few excuse me's escaping from my mouth, my pace slowing down when I reached the classroom out of breath.

I finally sat down to find Taehyung writing something down in his seat, which was a relief. He stumbled with his things when he saw my presence and shoved his pen and his notebook in his backpack, making sure that I didn't see anything. "Is there something wrong?" I asked in a worried tone.

He didn't answer, but instead, nodded in response. I was confused. This wasn't like him, why was he so quiet today?

He was always so full of energy whenever he saw me, did Jooyoung pick on him again?

To stop myself from asking him any further questions, I turned my attention toward the teacher, the bell's sound echoing throughout the building.

The lunch table was in pure awkward silence as all of us ate quietly, giving each other a few glances before turning our attention back to our food.

"Why are all of you so quiet today? You know how much I hate the silence," Jin spoke without giving any of us looks.

Before I could speak, Hoseok cut me off, "Is it our fault that it's so quiet here?"

"Then maybe now's the perfect time for you to make use of your loud voice," Jin sassed back.

Hoseok was taken aback by Jin's sassy response. He stopped eating and slowly put his chopsticks down in a slow manner before looking up at Jin, "Well, maybe you should use your energy on something more useful rather than starting a fight with me."

"You guys are being overdramatic, stop it," Namjoon said before leaving a sigh. "We're at school, not at home."

I silently glanced up before looking down and eating my food quietly.

"Rui, I made a lychee cupcake last night and packed it for you before I came to school. Have a try," Taehyung offered.

I turned my head towards his direction to see him holding a cupcake in my face, the strong smell of lychee reaching my nose.

"I never saw you in the kitchen last night, how could you say that you baked them?" Jin asked, confused.

Without hesitation, Taehyung quickly came up with an answer, "I couldn't sleep last night, so I woke up to bake dessert and planned to give it to Rui before I went to sleep. You were still sleeping, so that's why you didn't know."

"That's why it smelled like lychee this morning," Jin awed, "Wait a minute, did you use all of my lychee cans?" he panicked.

"Tsk tsk... you and your obsession with lychee. You have over fifteen cans of them and I only used one. Stop being so greedy." Taehyung rolled his eyes.

I took the cupcake from Taehyung's hand and took a bite from it, taking in the sweet and savory flavor. My eyes shot up as I tasted the filling of the cupcake.

Raspberry.

Though I knew raspberries were either sour or sweet, they tasted bitter.

The cupcake tastes alright, but why does the filling taste so bitter? Are the foods that he used to make the filling expired?

I turned to look back at him to see him staring at me. "Does the cupcake not taste good?" he calmly asked.

He was calm. Too calm.

"What do mean? It tastes so good! You stayed up to bake this for me, of course, it should be good," I replied.

"Then..." he leaned forward until our faces were a few inches apart, "You should finish it to make it worth my efforts, am I right?" His serious look slowly turned into a cheeky smile.

For a moment there, I felt as if what he said was a threat, but maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I was just thinking too much.

"I wouldn't dare to make your efforts go to waste, trust me." I pinched his cheek gently before taking another bite.

Taehyung watched me intensely as I took in every bite of the cupcake, making sure that I did not leave a crumb behind.

Author's Pov

As soon as the bell rang and everyone scattered back to their classes from lunch, Taehyung excused himself from his class before heading towards the boy's bathroom.

His loud, heavy footsteps could be heard in the hallways with his heel colliding on the floor with such force as he walked.

When he went inside, he made sure that no one was in there before securely locking the door and entering one of the bathroom stalls, locking himself in there.

He pulled out his phone and quickly dialed the number before waiting for the person on the other line to pick up.

"Do you have everything set?" Taehyung asked in a cold tone.

"We have everything set, sir. The cars, the ropes, the tape, the bags, and the drugs are all here. My men and I are just waiting for you to give out the order," said the person on the other line.

"What about code 100?" Taehyung asked once again.

"Everything is taken care of now for that," said the man, "Just tell me who we need to take care of and we shall be on our way."

Taehyung snickered, his hand reaching in his pockets, pulling out his notebook that was filled with gruesome sketches and wicked ideas on how to torture those who he considers his enemies.

Setting the notebook and the phone down on his lap, he reached for the other pocket and pulled out the stack of envelopes that contained written confessions to Rui.

Every letter was signed with their names.

"You did this to yourselves... now you must suffer the consequences. Don't worry, I won't forget to show you my wrath when we all have fun together..." Taehyung whispered as he looked at one envelope before the other, "I haven't had a party in a while. There's only ten of you, you guys will keep me company, right?" Taehyung said to himself.

"You guys won't die so easily, am I right?" Taehyung chuckled with a sadistic smile that was now visibly shown on his face.
