Author's Pov
The busy streets that were flooded with civilians and public transportation made Taehyung uneasy. Wanting time to hurry up was what he desperately wanted so that he could just go back home to his love.
Though he knew that before he left, he couldn't get the memory out of his head that Rui had unspoken tears in her eyes before he turned to leave at that moment.
"Will she be okay without me?" he thought to himself, his fingers pulling at his nails anxiously.
"Taehyung, you don't look so well, honey. Are you alright?" his Grandmother asked.
"No, Grandma. I'm fine, I'm just nervous about the meeting, that's all," he lied.
"It's going to be alright, Taehyung. You're just going to sit beside me and observe how it is done when you're on these important occasions. Tsk... you're just like your father. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?" she chuckled and patted Taehyung's hand in comfort, "Whoever the girl is, she will be just fine. Don't think too much about it, okay?"
Taehyung looked at her in shock, "But Grandma, how did you know-"
"Your father had the same look when your mom was pregnant with you in her belly. He wouldn't stop worrying about her, but in the end, she turned out just fine when he arrived home." She smiled.
"Yeah... until she had me..." Taehyung looked down.
His Grandmother took both of his hands into hers and held them tightly. "Do not blame this on yourself. Your mother knows very well that it's not your fault."
Taehyung looked up to see his Grandma's comforting smile. "I know..."
"We have finally arrived, Master V and Mrs. Kim," the driver said.
"Master V? When did you give yourself that name?" his Grandma chuckled.
"Since you left me in charge of the mansion," Taehyung replied jokingly before the both of them cracked into a laugh.
Slowly driving to the entrance, the paparazzi flashed before Taehyung's eyes. The camera flashes and the number of reporters who were there to demand answers to their unreasonable questions almost came to be too much for Taehyung.
"I don't think I'll ever get used to this." He gulped.
"No one ever gets used to this," his Grandma replied. "Just follow me and you'll be okay."
With a slow nod, he took his grandmother's hand and followed her out of the limousine.
"Mrs.Kim! Will your grandson be the next CEO to lead the company?"
"Are you going to negotiate with the Hwa Company?"
"What are your plans?"
Question after question was being asked with every second that passed as soon as Taehyung stepped foot on the hard cement ground. The only comfort that he had in mind was the warmth that his Grandma had to provide him with, and the encouragement that was given to him by Rui.
Finally making it through the flooded crowd of reporters and cameras, they immediately walked to the elevators with their bodyguards by their sides.
"Do you think this is going to go well?" Taehyung asked, turning his head to look at his Grandma who was beside him.
"Honey, if there are things that I want to go my way, I always have a plan in mind to get there," she said.
When they finally reached the floor, stepping out of the elevator, Taehyung stepped out. Fixing his suit and looking down at his watch, he looked up to realize that he was looking at the Hwa Family's only heir who was also looking at him.
