Did I hear correctly?

Did he just allow me to talk to my parents?

My parents, who I've not talked or seen since months.

Ya Allah. I miss them so much. I miss my mom who is the best and so caring. I miss my dad who is the perfect role model any daughter could have. How they all supported me, loved me, pampered me, fulfilled all my wants and were just there for me.

How are they? How did they take the news that their only daughter was kidnapped? What was going on in that house? My home. The place where I spent most of my childhood and where I was raised.

My friends. They came to my mind. My best friends. My sisters. What would they be thinking? Knowing them I'm sure till now they will be blaming themselves for not helping me that night.

"Really?" I asked, my voice full of excitement. He smiled.

"Really." He replied. "But," he raised his index finger, "you cannot tell them about this all. Don't tell them about the marriage either. Just talk to them, ask how they are and so on."

I frowned. "But why? They will obviously ask me where I am and what's going on. How can I not tell them my location or my marriage?"

"Just trust me. Now's not the right time."

I wanted to argue. Say that this doesn't make sense. They would want to know my whereabouts. But I kept quiet, afraid that if I question some more, he'll change his mind.

"Okay." I gave in.

He nodded and took out his phone before dialing a number.

"Now, I will be outside to give you privacy. And I expect that you do as I say. Otherwise there will be consequences. You got that?" He ordered. I nodded.

The phone continued ringing after I put in near my ear. The nerves were so heightened that I didn't even notice Ammaar leaving the room.

The heart was bursting with excitement and happiness. I am going to finally talk to them!

"Hello, Assalam u alaikum?" An all too familiar, soft voice spoke.

I couldn't help the grin that formed on my lips. My mother! My mother, I heard her after so long.

"Wa-walaikum Assalam." I greeted back hesitantly.

There was a moment of silence on the other line as no one said a work.

"A-Adeena?" She asked, as if not believing her ears. "Adeena! It's you right? I know it's you. Your voice, how I could I ever forget it?" She started sobbing making my heart want to reach out to her.

"Yes ammi(mother)! It's me. Your Dina." I exclaimed.

"Ya Allah! Ya Allah! It's my baby! My Dina. Alhamdullilah. Alhamdullilah!" Ammi expressed.

"Ammi, how are you? How's abbu(father)" I asked worriedly.

"Where are you meri beti(my daughter)? Where have you been? Aira and Rania said you were kidnapped! Who kidnapped you? Are you alright? Where are they keeping you? Did they give you anything to eat? Are you safe? What do they want? If they want money, tell them we'll give it to them but just please give you back. Where are they keeping yo-"

"Ammi breathe. Breathe. I'm fine. I'm fine. He is keeping me in a mansion. Yes, he gives me proper expensive meals to eat. Yes, I'm safe. In normal shape. And no, he doesn't want money." I replied back, slowly so that my words register in her.

There was a one minute silence until she spoke, "But where are you? What is happening? Why does he want then? Wh- Oh finally you came. Look it's Adeena's call!" I heard mom say to someone else which I probably guessed was my dad.
