Ashton sat up in the bed looking at Landon who was sleeping. He groaned and put his face in his hands, he was feeling so conflicted.
He carefully got out of the bed and noticed that the room he and Calum once shared hadn't changed at all. It broke his heart. He saw a bunch of polaroids and pictures of them together around the room. Some not age appropriate so Ashton put them away before Avery or Landon could take a look at them.

"Good morning." Calum smiles yawning from the bed across the room.

"I'm sorry did I wake you?"

"Yeah but it's fine I was going to make breakfast anyways."

Ashton nodded and they walked downstairs to the kitchen.

"About your room-"

"Our room. This is still your home Ash." Calum says grabbing the eggs out of the fridge.

"Our room hasn't changed."

"Yeah I know."

"You didn't take down any pictures of us even after I broke up with you. You didn't take any of my posters down even-"

"Ashton you broke my heart but I didn't care. I was still completely obsessed with you. At first I was so angry that I wouldn't even go into our room. I slept on the couch and then eventually I accepted you weren't coming back. When I realized that I slept in your bed just to feel closer to you. I cried for a week when my mom washed the sheets and they no longer smelled like you."

Ashton stood there in silence. He didn't know how to respond.

"It's over now alright? Do you want chocolate chips in your pancakes?"  Calum looked up at Ashton like what he said had no meaning at all.

"I umm-"

Avery interrupted by racing down the stairs which earned weird stares from Calum and Ashton.

"You alright babe?" Calum asked

Bang. One shot to Ashton's heart.

"Yeah- yeah. Umm what're you making?"

"Breakfast for everyone." Calum smiles as he's mixing the pancake batter.

"Oh. Do you need help?" Avery asks before kissing Calum

Bang. Two shots to Ashton's heart.

Calum blushes

Bang. Three shots. Call the ambulance.

Although Ashton didn't know Calum was blushing because of embarrassment. Calum felt a type of way about kissing in front of Ashton. It somehow felt illegal. Ashton didn't have to say anything, Calum knew how he felt.

Calum stepped back a bit and smiled again, "Yeah, can you finish the pancakes? I'm going to go wake everybody up."

Avery nodded and Calum left them alone.

"So... are you going to add chocolate chips?" Ashton asked trying to make conversation. He knew that Avery was actually a decent person and that the only reason he was acting like this was because of his past and maybe a little bit of the present with Calum.

"There is none." Avery said as they both stared at the chocolate chips in front of him. He sat down on the stool mixing the batter angrily.

Everyone walked into the kitchen and could sense the tension in the room. Landon still felt like an outsider. He knew their past now but he didn't know why the tension was there.

Calum gives a fake laugh to break all the silence. "Mali do you want to set the table?"

"Uh yeah... it's my favorite thing to do. Thank you Calum." Mali was actually thanking Calum for giving her an excuse to leave
