Sixteen

Calum tried to avoid Ashton that morning but he knew he would have to see him at breakfast and by themselves when he drove them to school

Calum, his dad, and Ashton sat at the table as 'mama hood' finished up the eggs

Mali groaned walking down the stairs and pulling orange juice out the fridge

"Mali what's wrong?" Calum asked

"Don't go to college parties... ever." She whispered sitting in the gap between Ashton and Calum

"So Ashton... the school called and your falling behind on your grades a bit."

"Oh.. I'll work on it." Ashton shrugged as joy served the eggs and he smiled thanking her

"Joy and I were thinking Calum could tutor you"

Calum choked on his eggs and smiled still coughing into his napkin

"I- Uh- anyways we're meeting the boyfriend today." Joy smiled as she sat down

"Yeah.. he's coming." Mali said nervously

"Anyways cal we're gonna be late." Ashton said standing up tugging on Calum's shirt

"I didn't finish-"

"Cal-" he sighed swinging his book bag on his shoulder

"Okay.. if you'll excuse me" Calum grabbed his book bag and waved bye to his family

Once they got in the car Calum turned on the radio and pulled out the driveway

"Are we not talking about what happened yesterday?" Ashton asked

"Of course we are. You took way too long in the shower especially when I needed it the most."

"That's not what I'm talking about."

"Hey look it's Luke and Michael" Calum pulled over

"So what're y'all talking about?" Michael asked as he helped Luke into the car

Ashton huffed and Calum replied with a nothing much

Michael entered the car and shut the door

"The tension in here is thicker than Madison who just recently got plastic surgery." Luke said

"Mind if we make a detour?" Ashton asked

"You want me to pick up Alex?" Calum laughed

"Yeah."

"Well yes I do mind." and with that Calum passed right by Alex's house

"Dickhead."

"Asshole."

Nate and Calum were the talk of the school because everyone was still trying to steal Calum from Nate

Ashton was currently walking down the hall looking for Alex when someone pulled him into the janitors closet

He turned on the light and sighed

"I told you I like dicks."
