Thirty three

Ashton hadn't said a word to Calum ever since Lia talked to him. They were currently in their dorm, Ashton studying and Calum getting ready to go out with Lia, Will, Luke, and Michael. Calum was like the 5th wheel.

It had been awkward all morning so when Ashton said goodbye Calum just left without saying a word. Michael was outside the campus waiting for Calum. As soon as they saw each other Calum ran up to him and hugged him, "I missed you" Calum smiles as Michael held him tight, "I missed you too. Let's get going now, somehow Lia recieved my number from 'sources' and keeps rushing me". Calum laughs and gets in the car saying hi to Luke who was seated in the passenger seat.

They arrive at the restaurant and Lia and Will greet them over to the table.

"I have a plan" Lia smirks as soon as they sit down

"uh oh"

"babe-" Will lets out a sigh knowing how extra Lia was whenever she created one.

"Will! It's a great plan."

"what's it about?" Calum asks

"Ashton-"

"No." Calum replies quickly

"Hear me out Cal- he's put you through shit! a little slap won't be the end of the world"

Michael smiles, "It took me a while to trust Irwin and then I realized he was a good guy. Hopefully the slap will snap him back into his old self."

"I don't know-"

"Come on Calum" Luke sighs

"What's the plan?"

Lia pulls out a binder

"of course you have a binder" Will laughs

"Okay so baby I need you to..."

"to?"

"Have phone sex with Calum"

"What the fuck Lia?" Calum groans

"Hear me out! Ashton doesn't like Will I have no idea how I mean look at him and his- Anyways you'll answer the phone Calum, on speaker while Ashton's in the room and Will could be suducing you on the end of the phone."

"Lia I don't know" Will laughs

"Will please it's a one time thing." Lia frowns

"W-what if he doesn't care?" Calum hated himself. He hated the fact that 'what if he doesn't care' was the only thing he was worried about.

"He loves you Calum he wouldn't get over you so quickly. The worst he could do is pretend he doesn't care but deep down inside it'll be a punch in the gut" Michael couldn't stand seeing his best friend like that. Will hadn't known Calum that long but neither could he.

"I'll do it" Will shrugs in hopes to bring Ashton down and avoid seeing Calum so sad. They all stare at Calum waiting for his approval, "If it goes to shit all of you need to buy me ice cream and comfort me."

That was their green light.

It was nightime and Ashon hadn't returned from wherever he was and Lia and Will were waiting for Calum to give them the go. A few minutes later Ashton came back. He was at football practice for the college team. After he took a shower Calum tried to start up a conversation.

"Ash?"

Ashton quickly gave Calum his attention. He was shocked Calum acknowledged his presence and Calum gave them the go.

"I-" Calum's phone began to ring, "Sorry I have to take this"

"Hey Will-" Calums phone wasn't on speaker like they had planned but the room was so small they decided to leave it as how it is because it would be more believable. Ashton listened in on the conversation.

"Hey Cal I was wondering if you could come over tonight?"

"For?" Calum whispered a sorry to Ashton knowing Ashton was waiting for them to continue their conversation.

"I want to see you so bad... the things I'd do to you would make you scream out my name. God Cal-."

Calum let out a small moan, he couldn't help it. He stumbled to end the call but Ashton snatched the phone from his hands and hung up the phone himself. Calum gulped looking up at the boy. He was furious, this is not what was planned.
