What happens when Calum tries to help Ashton find love and show him its real? Soon enough he has trouble finding out if doing so was a mistake or a gift.

Darius and Ashton had spent more time over the week which earned them stares. Although he lives with Calum they had no contact at all. Calum would often bring over some guys never anything too serious but Ashton would be filled with jealousy.
Ashton brought Darius over and Calum was there with Luke, "Hey Darius." Luke smiles and Darius smiles back, "Hey". Ashton grabbed his books and headed out the door with Darius following him from behind.
"I thought we were going to study in your room? You have to face him."
"I will..."
"When?"
"Tonight."
"If you don't I'm not going to talk to you until you do." Darius smiles proudly.
"Fine you bitch."
"Ass."
"Douche"
"Ouch."

"Ashton it's 6 we've literally been studying all day I know you're just trying to avoid Calum."
"I-"
"I have to go. Bye."
"Darius."
Darius laughs evilly while picking up his books and leaving. Ashton sighs looking down at his books and getting up to go back to his dorm. He walks in and Luke and Calum were still there but they were watching a movie on Calum's computer.
Ashton went to bed and laid there scrolling through instagram

Ashton rolled his eyes and scrolled through more posts
"I'm gonna get going" Luke spoke out loud
"Are you sure?" Calum quickly responded
"Yeah." Luke waves and leaves not turning back. Ashton turned to face Calum, "Cal-"
"No no no."
"What?"
"What are you doing?"
"I-"
"No."
"Calum can you fucking listen?" Ashton was getting frustrated causing Calum to jump slightly. "I just want to know.. about that night.". This part broke Calum not even to mention completely wrecked Ashton, "That night meant nothing. It only happened because I wanted to see if I still h-have uh feelings for you and I don't. I've moved on and so should you."
Ashton couldn't say anything even if he wanted to. "Goodnight." Were the only words he could process. Calum got under his covers and cried silently he looked up at Harry and tore the poster down. He wiped his tears and turned to face Ashton's side of the room. Ashton was staring up at the ceiling. Calum was scared to talk but he did. The plan wasn't working.
"Ashton?"
He heard Ashton sigh and turn to look at him, "Yeah?" Calum's heart could break at any second seeing Ashton's face who had tears streaming down his cheeks.
"What happened to us?"
"I don't know."
"You're an asshole."
"I know."
"Can I-"
Ashton nodded lifting his covers. Calum shamelessly uncovers himself and walks over to Ashton's bed laying down under his covers.
"I miss you."
"So do I."
"No listen to me Ashton. I miss you. I don't know who you are anymore. I'm not in love- I didn't fall in love with the person you are now. I want you back. Ash- I'm always going to want you back."
Ashton stares at Calum, "You know tomorrow we're going to act like this didn't happen right?"
"I do."
"Hoodnight."
Calum slightly smiles and Ashton wraps him in his arms.
"Do we have to move on?" Calum asks
"Looks like it Hood."
"I don't want to."
"I guess we weren't meant to be."
"Guess so." Calum turned off Ashton's lamp which was the only source of light in the room.
He enjoyed his possible last moments with Ashton. All he needed was to find somebody to love Ashton and he did but, it ended up ruining the both of them.
