Seventeen

Following Lia's rules was hard for Ashton, yet easy at the same time. He was quite good at ruining the moment for Nate and Calum and third wheeling. However, ignoring Calum and making no eye contact, but still sleeping in his bed, was quite difficult.

The morning started off with Calum and Ashton getting ready for school. Ashton simply walked by Calum and slapped his ass as he exited their bedroom, he didn't say a word or look back to see Calum's reaction.

"Fucking weirdo." Calum mumbled under his breath.

At school, Ashton had his hands on Alex 24/7, which of course Alex loved. Meanwhile it had Calum practically throwing up in his mouth.

"Ok, you know it's kind of hard to teach you biology when your tongue is down someone's throat." Calum complains, still not loving the fact he has to tutor Ashton.

Ashton hums, pulling away from Alex, but never looks at Calum. "We could study later, just you and me." There's a smirk evident in his voice.

Calum shook his head. "Uh yeah not gonna happen. I have plans with Nate."

"Cancel them." Ashton deadpans. "I think helping your brother study is more important."

"Oh fuck off. If you can have plans with Alex, I can have plans with Nate."

"Talking about me babe?" Nate smiles, sitting down next to them.

"Speak of the devil." Ashton rolls his eyes.

Calum scoots closer to Nate, putting his head on his shoulder. "Hey."

"You look adorable you know that?" Nate chuckles slowly leaning in to kiss Calum. But of course Ashton's not having that.

Ashton chucks a fry with ketchup straight at Nate and it hits him in the face. "Oh sorry dude, totally an accident."

Calum shoots a glare at Ashton, extremely unimpressed.

Nate however just laughs it off, scooping the ketchup up on his finger and dragging it across Calum's lips.

"Hey!" Calum pouts, and Nate continues to laugh.

"Here, you got something on your lip." Nate grabs ahold of the side of Calum's face, and pulls him in for a kiss, cheekily licking the ketchup off his lips.

Ashton wrinkles his nose, "That is...disgusting."

5 minutes before Calum's date with Nate and Ashton is lecturing him, while avoiding eye contact.

"Okay. You better be home by 9:30-"

"9:30!? Jesus Ashton I'm not a kid, that only gives us like 2 hours to hang out."

"Well too bad, your problem not mine. When you get back, I told Joy you and I are going to study. You should know your mother well enough to know that she will kick your ass if we're not studying."

Calum stomped his foot like a child. "Why do you always have to ruin this for me. Nate is not a bad guy."

Ashton looks up from his phone for the first time, to look Calum dead in the eyes. "He is. He's a very shitty person, and I really don't feel like picking up the pieces when he breaks you."

"Fuck off I never asked you to fix my broken heart, which isn't broken because Nate is nice to me." Calum argues back.

But maybe he is a little heart broken, not from Nate though. From Ashton, part of Calum still wants him back.

Ashton rolls his eyes and goes back to looking at his phone. "So where are you two going this time?"

"His house. So you and Alex can't intrude."
