Final

"I'm confused if taking away my Innocence made me loyal to him why do I slightly remember beating up his memory?"

"Because like your choice in being in Slytherin your loyalty lies within your heart. Not the mind, that's where Voldemort realized too late. Notice how the veins are near your eyes connecting to your head. If he knew that your loyalty was in your heart then the veins would've been covering your chest, caging your heart"

I oh'ed understanding what he's going on about. Dumbledore asked if I have any more questions which I didn't, not that I can think of really or well maybe one."Um, can Fawkes cry on my face again to heal my veins?"

He laughs turning to Fawkes, Fawkes chirps jumping on the desk to me. I laid my head down letting the tears roll on my face feeling the bumps disappear.

I smiled petting the Phoenix thanking Dumbledore for his time. "Oh also don't tell the boys I told you this but I'm rewarding you extra points for Quidditch games"

"I didn't know that was a thing but thanks"

"Well aside from Harry you're an amazing Quidditch player"

I thanked him for the compliment going off to the dorms. I opened the door seeing Smoky in my bed with my uniforms in a nested form with him in the middle. He chirps quietly faceplanting into the clothes.

I walked up to the sad bird trying not to awe at the scene. I sat behind him and pet his small head scaring him, "Hey buddy, I'm so sorry for leaving you alone"

Smoky screeches huddling my stomach chirping loudly. I continue to pet him feeling tears run down my own cheeks. I wiped them away kissing his head. I don't know how long I was gone but it must have been a good while because he smells bad.

I needed a bath and it was already a given so that's exactly what I went to do. I took a bath along with Smoky taking one himself in the sink creating a mess as usual.

I smiled sitting in the tub washing away the filth I've collected. There was no chance of saving my uniform but I put it in the basket to wash anyways. After that, I was given a free day off after that whole experience and I was happily taking that free day.

Dinner came around and I was sitting with the Gryffindor students between Harry and Ron. "For the last time Ron no you can't have my pudding"

"But why?"

"Because it's mine and if you try to take it I'll stab you with my fork"

I moved my pudding cup to Harry's side away from Ron's grabby hands, "Look its Hermione!" Neville points out.

We turned around to the entrance and there she was smiling in our direction. We got up embracing her in a hug, "Welcome back, Hermione"

"It's good to be back congratulations I can't believe you two solved it"

"Well, we had loads of help from you two. And on another note, we've learned a thing or two about ourselves"

Harry and Ron looked at each other laughing nervously yet traumatized. I just raised an eyebrow laughing at what it could be. Professor McGonagall clicked her cup getting out attention. I waved at the three going to the Slytherin table. Course I could've stayed with them at their table but it was finally time for the points.

"Before we begin the feast let us have a round of applause for Professor Sprout and Madam Pomfrey. Who's Mandrake juice has been so successfully administered to all who had been petrified"

We clapped at the two women smiling at everyone. They awkwardly stood up raising their hand thanking everyone.

"Also, in light of recent events as a school treat all exams have been canceled"

My eyes widen cheering loudly. Something worth hearing!! And here I thought I was going to fail this year thanks to the kidnapping. Thank Merlin this man has a heart.

The entrance doors opened revealing Hagrid. The night just keeps getting better and better.

"Sorry, I'm late. The owl that delivered my release papers got all lost and confused. Some ruddy bird called Errol"

Errol?! Really Ron?! I felt my face turn red from holding my laugh coughing it away. Hagrid walks up to the three thanking them and then turned to me saying thank you. Saying that if it weren't for us he'd still be in Azkaban.

Harry got up telling him it wouldn't be Hogwarts without him. And he's right Hagrid's like the backbone of this school.

Dumbledore clapped getting everyone else to do the same. I got up clapping whistling loudly. Everyone got up giving the gamekeeper a grand hug pushing him to the Professor's table. He sat down smiling at the Professors.

Once everyone was seated Dumbledore stood up once again. Holding both his arms out, "Now I'm sure you're all waiting to see who won the house cup this year. It was close to a tie but to some recent events, points were added to a new winner of the year if you would"

We banged against the tables waiting for him to change the banners on the ceiling the ever-changing banners rolled up and dropped to Slytherin colors.

"Congratulations to Slytherin you've won this year with a total of 1,004 points. Now let the feast begin!"

Five days later

Wow, what a year this has turned out. I stared at my fixed bed with my suitcase all packed up. Summer is finally here and some students are rather excited about the vacation.

I pull down my suitcase attaching Smoky's cage to it and wheeled it out. Smoky sat on my shoulder singing a small song against my ear. I walked past students who were hugging each other saying to send letters during the time apart and such.

I exit the common room going upstairs running into a few Professors telling them to have a great summer. I bump into Professor Snape he seemed happy in a way I can only guess he's happy about not seeing us for a while.

"Have a great Summer Professor"

"To you as well (L/n). Try not to cause trouble now"

I nod walking off to find my friends. They were at the entrance of the school catching view of me. I waved walking a little faster to meet up with them. We take the long way to the train station telling each other about our plans for the summer.

"I'm not going to do much except hang out with my little brother so expect me invading your homes throughout summer"

They laughed saying they'll look forward to it. Harry glanced at me with weary eyes."So um are you going to tell us about your nightly runs (Y/n)?"

"Right. This isn't something I'm supposed to tell you because I promised my mum I wouldn't tell anyone but every full moon...I leave the castle and play a song to... A werewolf"

We reached the station boarding the train. Hermione sighed happily laying her hand on her chest. We got in a compartment Hermione grabbed my hand smiling at me, "When the boys told me about your nightly runs once a month I thought you were a werewolf"

"Oh, Merlin no. Poor creatures, I can't imagine what pain they go through every full moon so I play a song as a way to soothe their sorrows"

"I just thought you were fighting animals at night which would explain your scratches"

Ron says scratching the back of his head laughing. The train started to move to make no stop until were home. I shake my head saying that's just me being clumsy on my own.

"We should meet at the Leaky Cauldron next year two days before the school year starts, you know to catch up knowing you two won't write to us."

Hermione points at the two boys in front of us playfully glaring at them. They looked around avoiding eye contact with her. I just nod smiling at the thought.

Our second year has come to an end and everything we've done is now written in the past as a memory. And now the 3rd year rolls in with many possibilities to choose from. Perhaps next year we'll get the chance to be normal students.
