"Okay so, on the other side of those doors," The Doctor said dramatically, "Is Kyoto, 1336."

"Really?" I asked, with a smile before hurrying over to the doors, Rose right behind me.

It looked like nothing I'd ever seen, dirt roads, old stone and wooden housing, rivers, bridges and trees. It was like something out of a film, peaceful and heavenly.

"I can see why you chose here," Rose said, looking at the cherry blossom trees, "It's beautiful."

We explored on our own, talking to several women and children at different shops and on the street while the Doctor and Jack followed behind talking about nothing in particular.

"So why this year?" i asked as the two men caught up.

"It's the year Kyoto was over taken by Ashikaga Takauji, an ally to the Emperor, Go-Daigo. Thought it might be interesting," the Doctor shrugged.

"Wars, my favourite," I grinned, "Well, except the Germans, couldn't stand that subject."

"Oh i know, i hated it," Rose agreed, the pair of us laughing.

"Um, i don't think they're very open to Western people," Jack said.

"What makes you think that?" we asked, turning only to see the Doctor being surrounded by a group of men, swords drawn.

"I was just asking a question about the emperor," the Doctor frowned, scurrying back to us.

"You can't do that in Japan!" Jack and I scowled. Seriously, wasn't he meant to know these things?

"Never mind that, run!" Rose shrieked, seeing the men charging at us.

We sprinted all the way back to the Tardis tumbling through the doors and the Doctor immediately put the Tardis in flight. Getting to my feet, i let my eyes flicker over the others, and found myself laughing. Rose laughed as well, followed by Jack and eventually the Doctor.

The laughing cut off almost immediately as bright white light filled the Tardis, and i caught sight of Rose reaching out for the Doctor and Jack grabbed my hand before everything was dark.

When i opened my eyes, i cringed at the bright light above me, and tried to blink away the multi-coloured wiggly lines in my vision. My head felt a little fuzzy, but i managed to make out the medic bed I was propped up on, and Jack who was beside me just coming too and still clutching my hand.

"Here we go again," a robotic female voice spoke, drawing my eyes to a robot with a rugby ball shaped head and purple hair, "We've got our work cut out for us."

"I don't know. She's quite pretty and he's sort of handsome. Has a good lantern jaw," the second robot, also female had a round head and light blue hair.

"Lantern jaws are so last year."

"Alex," Jack pulled me closer as he noticed the robots, then addressed them, "Sorry, nice to meet you, ladies, but where exactly are we?"

"We're giving you both a brand new image," the purple one said.

"Oh, hold on, we were with the Doctor," Jack said then paused, "Why, is there something wrong with what I'm wearing?"

"That's the issue?" I muttered, digging my elbow into his side.

"It's all very twentieth century. Where did you get that denim? And that horrible top?"

"A little place in Cardiff. It was called the Top Shop," Jack said, while I looked at the baggy grey sweater I had on with a pair of jeans, what was wrong with that?
