The cooling tunnels were – as suggested – freezing. I wandered ahead of the Doctor and Mrs Moore who shared some conversation and jumped when they noticed all the Cybermen. They had torches, while i had my phone, and honestly my phone did a better job. They talked about names and families and jobs for a while, and i was quite happy pretending they weren't there until i saw a hand move.

"I think they're waking up," i told the Doctor.

"It's just the torchlight. Keep going, come on," he told me, but then another one moved. "They're waking up. Run!"

"Oh i thought it was the torch light!" i yelled after him, annoyed as the three of us ran toward a ladder at the end of the tunnel.

The Doctor went up first, unlocking the trap door with the Sonic. Mrs Moore pulled herself up and i followed, helping the two of them seal it up again before the Cybermen could reach us.

"Oh, good team, Alex, Mrs Moore," the Doctor grinned, breathing heavily.

We started off along the tunnels again, the Doctor taking a guess most of the time. A Cyberman jumped out of nowhere, giving us a start but Mrs Moore was ready for it.

"You are not upgraded."

"Yeah? Well, upgrade this," Mrs Moore said, tossing a small rod with copper wire wrapped around it at the Cyberman. It stuck to the metal and the Cyberman jerked, then sparked and collapsed.

"What the hell was that thing?" the Doctor asked, looking amazed.

"Electromagnetic bomb. Takes out computers, I figured it might stop the cyber-suit," Mrs Moore explained.

"You figured right. Now, let's have a look. Know your enemy," The Doctor crouched beside the machine and Mrs Moore and i did the same on the other side. "A logo on the front. Lumic's turned them into a brand. Heart of steel, but look." He removed the logo on the chest with the sonic and revealed the inside, pulling out the pink fleshy stuff.

"Is that flesh?" Mrs Moore asked.

"Hmmm. Central nervous system. Artificially grown then threaded throughout the suit so it responds like a living thing. Well, it is a living thing," The Doctor explained, then his fingers ran over a black box inside, "Oh, but look. Emotional inhibitor. Stops them feeling anything."

"But why?"

"It's still got a human brain. Imagine its reaction if it could see itself, realise itself inside this thing. They'd go insane."

"So they cut out the one thing that makes them human," i stated, frowning a bit.

"Because they have to," The Doctor told me, taking my hand.

Despite the anger i felt at him at the moment, i gripped it hard and took a deep breath, this was almost as bad at the Daleks on Satellite one.

"Why am I cold?" the Cyberman asked, making us jump.

"Oh, my God. It's alive. It can feel," Mrs Moore gasped.

"We broke the inhibitor. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," the Doctor apologised.

"Why so cold?" the Cyberman asked.

"Can you remember your name?" the Doctor asked.

"Sally. Sally Phelan."

"You're a woman," Mrs Moore said, surprised.

"Where's Gareth?"

"Who's Gareth?" i asked.

"He can't see me. It's unlucky the night before." I gripped the Doctor's hand tighter as she said that, the poor woman.

"You're getting married," Mrs Moore said, her voice sad.
