CHAPTER 11
STUNNING BEAUTY
(EVELYN HAVEN'S POV)
Nagising ako when I felt my back hurts a little. I woke up feeling the hard bed on my back.
Bumangon ako kahit nahihilo pa ako and look around. This is probably a boy's room because of the color blue na sumasakop sa kabuuan ng kwarto.
Napahimas ako sa likod ko sa sakit. I am actually in a bunk bed on the upper. There are exactly 3 bunk beds here.
The lower part is composed of a cabinet and a study table. Para lang talaga sa tatlong tao ang kwarto. Masasabi ko na pinakamalinis ang hinihigaan ko dahil sa walang nakakalat na damit unlike the others.
I try stepping down but my dizziness stops me. Pagtuon ng kamay ko naramdaman ko ang bahagyang pagkirot doon and a gauzed covering the back of my palm.
I tried again but I lost my balance and scream at the top of lungs and exactly the door swung open and as I close my eyes and then felt my body fall in someone's arms.
"Ouch" daing nito dahil nawalan din siya ng balanse and we are in the floor I am in this stranger's top sitting while he is on the floor enduring the pain.
"Sorry" sagot ko at tumayo agad but my body failed me and just fall in the floor.
"Are you okay" by then a familiar voice speak. I look at the person and my mouth gap open when I saw Edward is the one speaking.
Binuhat niya ako at ininupo sa isang sofa doon. I felt the pain in my feet. Maybe I just sprained my ankle?
"Kukuha lang ako ng cold compress" tumango ako and then try my best to touch my feet but my hand stop me to do so when I felt the pain again in the back of my hand na mukhang naupuan ko.
Mabilis lang bumalik si Edward but I notice he is sweating to much. He lifted my feet and put it on his knees as he apply the cold compress.
"Mag-iingat ka kasi" paalala niya pansin ko din ang paghingal niya.
"I just felt dizzy and didn't expect na mali ang tapak ko and fall. Sorry talaga" he then smiled and look at me.
"That's okay" and then blood from his nose started running down nanlaki ang mata ko at namutla. Then Edward lose his conciousness and so I also did.
(THIRD PERSON'S POV)
After hearing a loud thud upstairs tumakbo si Maisie paakyat sa kwarto. She came early from school and planning to visit his Kuya Edward.
Dumiretso siya sa kwarto ng mga lalake just across their room. Pagbukas niya she found two body lying on the cold ground.
"Kuya! Ate!" sigaw niya at lumapit dito. She first came towards his Kuya and notice his nose bleeding. Inilabas niya ang tissue sa bag and clean the blood.
Kumuha siya ng unan and lift his Kuya's head alam niyang hindi niya kakayanin ang bigat ng lalake. And then she came towards her Ate Evelyn who turn cold and pale at the same time. Agad niya itong dinaluhan.
His Kuya wake up and saw the situation. Evelyn started not breathing normally. Para itong nalulunod. Hinawi ni Edward si Maisie and kahit hindi pa maayos ang pakiramdam niya he hear Evelyn's breathing and heartbeat.
"Get the inhaler on my drawer." mabuti na lang at may extra siyang inhaler sa bag. Pagkabigay ni Maisie ng inhaler he inhale some and blow it towards Evelyn's mouth.
Gulat na gulat si Maisie. Malalim kasi ang pagihip ng kuya Edward niya and seeing them from afar will tell you that they are making out or something.
Pagtigil ng pag-ihip ni Edward ay ang pagcheck naman niya sa pulso ng dalaga na bumabagal kaningunit unti unting bumabalik sa normal.
And then he stared at her. The pale skin of Evelyn really suits her facial features. Mukha mang may sakit si Evelyn naalala ni Edward ang unang beses nilang nagkita.
He remember how pink Evelyn's lips are and unconciously touch his lips. Malabot din ito and then his nose started bleeding again.
"Kuya!" agad namang lumapit si Maisie at tinulungan ang kuya naman niya. Ng mahimasmasan ang kuya niya ay tuloy ang titig nito kay Evelyn.
"Do you have spare clothes?" he asked and Maisie nodded but ceased her head in curiousity.
"Don't tell me papalitan mo siya sa akin?" tanong ni Maisie at walang alinlangang tumango ang binata.
Maisie heaved a sigh as she leaved the both of them.
(EDWARD DASHIELL'S POV)
Pagkaalis ni Maisie I look back to Evelyn. She really look sick but still look pretty.
Hindi sa sinasabi ko na ayos lang na may sakit siya. It is actually best if she is in her natural look na parang walang dinadamdam.
Her eyebrows that compliments her big eyes, pointed nose and thin lips. Everything about her scream elegance kahit may sakit siya.
I look at her feet. Her ankle is really swolen. Kaya ko lang naman pinapakuha ng damit si Maisie ay para hindi makita ni Evelyn ang blood stain ko sa hospital dress niya.
'No other intention at all'
I hope but her beauty captivates me. Makes my heart race na nagpabahala sa akin.
'Dapat na yatang bumalik ako sa doktor.'
I touch my chest as I felt it but it is not actually hurtful but it feels different. Dapat yata ay tanungin ko ang doktor tungkol dito.
She look like an angel fallen from the sky. Hindi ko alam kung anong dahilan niya kung bakit niya gustong umalis sa ospital.
She is sick I know but how could she leave the hospital because she just want to?
Naalala ko na mayaman nga pala siya. It hurts to know our differences in terms of our status in life.
She is born with a golden spoon on her mouth while I am just an orphan.
'Why am I even comparing her to me?'
Tumayo na ako ng makita si Maisie. Dala-dala niya ang isang black dress niya. Lumabas naman ako and wait for them to finish.
And then I heard a loud thud. Agad kong binuksan ang pinto to see Evelyn awake and struggling to stand up.
"Wag mong pilitin" babala ko and lift her up. She is not even heavy as I thought. Magaan siya para sa isang babae mabigat pa sakanya si Maisie.
"Put me down mabigat ako" she said while covering her face.
I guess she is embarassed. Inihiga ko siya sa sofa namin but suddenly someone push the door causing me to fall.
My heart beat fast and I can't help but curse the hell out of who open the door knowing na may tao.
I look at her and her eyes are bulging as I felt again our lips touch.
