New York

 My desk was packed with files from work so I decided to start working on them and found out that there is going to be another photo shoot in New York, and I couldn't help but want to go. Luke and Leo were going to get offered the job, so I knew I needed to go. As soon as Leo left for work, I pulled down our suitcases and started packing Alexander and my clothes. I packed coats and warm pajamas for both of us. I booked the flight for the next day at 8 in the morning because that will give us enough time to get through customs and have Alexander asleep on the plane ride. Leo came home with the biggest smile on his face. He had got the job and we were going to New York in first class. I was so excited for him as this was one of the most important jobs he has had. Our thick winter coats took up a whole suitcase but luckily, we weren't going for long. The flight was so bumpy, and I nearly spilled my champagne all over Leo. I slept mas the way there with Alexander in my arms and my head on Leo's chest. He slowly brushed my hair from my forehead and ran his fingers through it. By the end of the flight I was cuddled up in Leo's arms and Alexander was watching cartoons.

With Alexander asleep in my arms we ended up arriving in New York and all I wanted to do is take a shower. When arriving at the hotel I was bombarded with paperwork from my father. Leo carried our bags up while I got ready to have a shower. Before I knew it, Leo was in the shower with me. I finished showering and got into my Versace robe and curled up on the bed. Alexander was asleep in his bed cuddling his little tiger. I turned the TV on and watched some Netflix while Leo slept. I feel asleep on his warm chest with his arms around me. I liked the way his chest raised and fell while I had my head on it. The way his breathe felt on neck was so comforting. It didn't take long for me to fall asleep but that didn't last long because Alexander started jumping on our bed and waking both of us up. we order dinner and ate in the room. Alexander loved the big bathtub because he could play with all his rubber duckies. My favorite part of bath time was wrapping Alexander up nice and tight in a warm towel. Leo would dress him for me while I make his bed and get all the sheets sorted. That was a nightmare trying to sort out his sheets no wonder Leo didn't want to do it. Alexander had pulled all the sheets off and chucked them on the floor. I walked back into the room to find Leo rocking Alexander to sleep. He looked like a little angel sent from Heaven.

I woke with a massive headache and Leo dressing Alexander. He has my heart and always will. He got me my water bottle and a few pills to at least relieve the pain. Today was the day of the photo shoot so I decided I must go because my Dad will be expecting me to be there. I put on my black skirt and my aqua dress shirt. I didn't bother with my hair or makeup because I knew Gail would be there to do it anyway. The drive from our hotel to the time square was quick compared to my last photo shoot in New York. Time square wasn't as busy as usual but there were tents everywhere. Leo had to leave us and go into one of the tents while I met up with my father before seeing Gail in his tent. He gave Alexander his first hair cut which made his hair curlier. He did my makeup and hair to make the theme of the photo shoot which meant I had a high ponytail and natural makeup with a bold eyeliner. Leo was in ripped jeans and a checker button up shirt. He looked stunning and I felt my checks become hot. Alexander ran over to him and gave him a big hug while I gave him a kiss on the check. I snapped back into my normal working woman and began ordering everyone around and get the perfect set up for the photo we are going for. Gail ended up taking Alexander from my arms and playing with him until I had finished my work. He loved playing with the big fluffy brushes. Gail must have lost 5 beauty blenders to my sons' mouth. Leo modeled perfectly as always, and the sun shone perfectly on his face. The makeup help show off his amazing jawline. The way there was very little makeup but still made a big impression on the camera. The pose he had to pull made him look amazing. It took almost the whole day to get the pictures right because we kept getting rained out. Our snow coats were soaked through and our shoes were full of water. Luckily, Alexander was in Gail's tent playing with all the makeup brushes. The weather finally cleared up and we got our final shots before sunset. I left Leo to get Alexander from Gail's tent. I was surprised to see Alexander and Gail curled up on the couch asleep. Alexander must have wanted to be rocked asleep. I didn't bother to wake them up from their peaceful sleep. I felt Leo's hand creep up my shoulder and the warm of his body encased me. We watched as Alexander sleep in Gail's arms. We woke them up when our uber arrived and I thanked Gail so much for his help while offering a room if he wanted to visit us.

After that trip I had got so many emails about when I would return to the office. I said I would come in on Wednesday 4th of March but I would have to bring Alexander. The office was more vibrant and colorful than before I left it. My room was decorated with explosions of color and black outlines. I had lilies of the valley flowers on my desk and a box of chocolates with a card. Alexander had a brand-new set of cars set up in the corner of my room and a little table with coloring on it. He jumped out of my arms and started playing with his new set of cars. Fletcher, Valeria and Olivia came barging into my room with their arms out wide for a hug. I was barged with questions about my trip and the wedding. Olivia went straight over to Alexander and scooped him up in her arms. She was surprised by how curly his hair was and the it curled into a perfect ringlet. Fletcher was amazed by how I kept my hair perfect without any dead ends. Valeria gave me a run down on what has been happening and how the color had arrived. I told all three of them that I met my assistant in New York and her name was Riley. Her previous job had got rid of her because she was too much of a control freak. I like the way she makes sure everything is in perfect order and everyone is doing their job. I told them that she would be arriving in about 10 minutes. I organised her office with a large plant in the corner of the room and placed her first task that needed to be completed by the end of the day. It was less than 20 seconds after I placed the paperwork on the desk, and she was at the door. Riley had a big smile and all her hair was slicked back into a high ponytail with a black scrunchie. She was prepared for the job and had all her equipment. She settled in quite well and everything was organised. The parcel with all the info she needed was ripped open and looked at straight away. I took her on a tour of the office and all the things that she will need. It felt good to see all my co-worker that I haven't talked to since the wedding. They were all excited to see Alexander. That day went fast, and I wish I could stay late but I had Alexander to look after and put to bed.
