Visiting Shane

After our anniversary I spent a week catching up in errands and training. I visited Shane with both Alexander and Celest. He hadn't seen me since before I had Celest, so he was shocked when I walked in with a toddler and a 9-year-old.

I got right into training on the boxing bag. This time I had strapped my hands and wasn't releasing anger. Shane kept Celest entertained with a few of the foam blocks and constantly kept his eye on Alexander while he ran on the treadmill. I was proud of my little boys' improvement with his fitness. From a quick glance to me side I saw Shane rocking Celest to sleep while holding a tackle bag for Alexander. He really is going to make an amazing dad someday. After spending half the day training, I got everyone in the car. Shane lifted Celest into her car seat with ease and didn't even wake her. Alexander jumped into the front seat as I waved goodbye to Shane.

Once we got home, I put Celest in her cot which would need to be changed into a bed soon. I then got Alexander out of his sweaty clothes before getting him into the shower. While Alexander was taking a shower, I got the washing down and started dinner before Celest woke up. After Alexander was changed, I bathed Celest and put them in front of the TV with cartoons. I jumped into the shower to wash away all the sweat and grim. The water runny down my back soothed my muscles and aches. By the time I was out of the shower dinner was ready and Leo had come home. He wrapped me up before lifting me up on to the bench and plonking a big kiss on my lips.

We didn't proceed because in the background you could hear Alexander dry reaching and screaming yuck. Celest was busy laughing at us so I kissed Leo again and the house erupted with laughter. Soon everyone had settled, and we sat down to dinner. Alexander said grace and thanked the lord before digging into his lasagna. I tucked them both in before sing "Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high. There's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby, I. Oh, somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue. Clouds high over the rainbow, makes all your dreams come true, ooh." As soon as I finished singing, I heard little snores coming from both of their rooms. I carefully creeped down the hall trying not to wake them before I got into our room.

Leo had already gotten into bed with his heated blanket on. Of course, like any human being in the right frame of mind would automatically decide that instead of walking around the bed you should jump over your partner and roll onto your side of the bed. So that is exactly what I did. The face Leo pulled brought pure joy to me. He looked like he had seen a ghost and then it turned to pure amazement. I had jumped over him and rolled into the duvet before falling asleep. He just wrapped his arms around me and cuddled into my hair.
