It was finally the week of my 30th birthday so a few days before the party I took Celest to see Hollie and Larissa. We met at the Santa Monica pier which was about a 20-minute drive. Larissa brought Rish with her and Hollie brought Christian. Larissa, Rish and Alexander ran off to the arcade while Hollie, Christian and I sat at the small cafe. Hollie was head off heels for Celest. She was in awe of how small she was and how peaceful she is. Christian came back with our coffees. His face lit up when he saw little Celest in Hollie's arms. They were perfect for each other. After a long conversation about my pregnancy and when I would be coming back to work Larissa, Rish and Alexander came back with lots of prizes.

Rish was carrying a large teddy bear that had a large red ribbon around its neck. Larissa had both arms full of little prizes and Alexander had a teenage mutant ninja turtle backpack full of candy and toys. They dropped all the prizes off at us at the cafe before going back to the roller coasters. Rish and Larissa got Alexander on Inkie's Scrambler and the West Coaster.

We spent the whole day going around the pier and playing all the carnival games. Larissa, Hollie and I were so good at the shooting games that they had to stop giving us prizes. Christian ended up with a sleepy Alexander in his arms and Hollie gently rocking Celest in her arms. He gently placed Alexander in his car seat while clipping him in with ease. Celest woke up when Hollie placed her in the car seat but didn't cry only sucked on her dummy.

The drive home was calm and soothing. Leo was already home when I pulled into the driveway. I strapped Celest to my back with the fabric harness Alex gave me at the baby shower. Then I picked up Alexander in my arms thankfully I still had my core strength because he was heavy. Leo rushed out the door and pulled all the prizes from the trunk. I carefully placed Alexander into his bed before rocking Celest to sleep on the nursing chair. She was a surprisingly good sleeper. Straight after putting Celest in her cot I went for a shower. Leo hoped in the shower with me before I could kick him out. The rest of the night we watched Wentworth and ended up falling asleep in each other's arms. Today had been a long day.
