"Who's your little friend?" The woman, who I am guessing is atsume's mother, said turning her gaze to me.

"Uh ya this is... uh" he said.

Oh shoot I forgot to tell him my name. "My name is Y/N L/N ma'm" I say shyly but politely. I move behind atsume when he says...

"Mom Y/N needs help" He says pulling me forward.

"Like I said, its not that bad. I've had worse." I mumbled looking down at my feet.

"Whats the matter." she says looking at me concerned and started to walk over to me.

"She's hurt" he says and moves the hair on my face to the side so his mother could see.

"I'm fine I jus-" his mother cut me off before I could finish.

"Oh my!" she exclaimed "Thats looks bad. Does it hurt? Are you ok?" She asks, honestly concerned, leading me to what Im guessing is the kitchen. She goes to a cabinet getting out a little emergency kit as I sit down.

She brings the kit to the table I was sitting at, and begins to clean my wound. After she cleans the small trail of blood going down my face, she takes out a bottle. As she opens it, a really strong smell fills the air. The scent burns my nose, the oder being amplified by my strong, dragon's, sense of smell.

"What is that stuff?" I say bringing my hands to my nose.

"Don't worry little Y/N" she says reassuringly. "Its just alcohol. It will clean that gash to make sure it won't get infected." She pours some of it into a cloth that soaks it up. She brings the cloth up to my face. "So Y/N do you live around here? Where are your parents?"Tthe cloth makes contact with my skin making me flinch. Ah what in the- That stings!

"Ow!" I say pushing her hand back. Hydroxia had never had used that alcohol stuff. No wonder! That stuff hurts!

"Oh sorry!" she says "I know it hurts but its the only way to clean that. If we don't then it could get infected." She moves to pat the cloth on my face but I move back. I knew I shouldn't trust humans. I'm either getting hurt or kidnapped whenever they're around!

"Look..." She says placing the cloth down and holding up her hands, palms facing me. "I just want to help you but I can't if you don't let me." she says slowly moving towards me. I saw atsume in the corner of my eye. he looked concerned for me.

"we don't have to use the alcohol if you don't want to but we still need to clean it." She got up and went to the sink. She had taken the soaked cloth with her and put it in the sink. She got a new rag and dipped it in water. As she did that atsume walked over to me.

"Hey are you ok?" He asked when he saw my face. He sat in a chair next to me and I looked at him. I didn't answer and his mom came back to us.

"Ok now this shouldn't hurt as much." She said and patted it at my skin. She was right, it didn't hurt as much, but It still stung a little

After she was done cleaning me up she asked me a series of questions. One question caught my attention the most.

"I asked this earlier but you didn't answer me. Where are your parents." she asked "From what I could see, they weren't with you. They must me worried."

I had never met my parents. The only parental figure I ever remember having is Hydroxia. "Umm... I've never met my parents." I choose to tell her the truth. I don't know why but I feel like I can trust her. But I still have to be careful.

"Oh... Well then who have you been living with? What about them?"she tries.

I start to feel tears form in my eyes and I look down I will not cry in front of anyone! "I've been living with hydroxia for most of my life but..." I hesitate to tell her the truth but go on. "to be honest I don't know where she is. one day we were catching fish together but then, when I woke up the next day, she was gone." My voice cracked with sadness. I had known that she'd vanished. I've thought about it so much... But actually telling someone about it brought back the feelings of the first night I was alone.

I felt the tears that I've been holding back for weeks come up and I cried. So much for not crying. All the memories of the times we had together were all rushing back to me. The times when we practiced magic, When we went hunting together, when she smiled at me or scolded me.

I felt arms wrap around me but I didn't act on them. I just cried. "You don't have anywhere to stay do you?" She asked but didn't wait for an answer. "Hey look at me" she said moving back and lifting my chin with her finger so I would look into her eyes. "Do you want to stay here for the night?"

I looked at her through my tears. I've never stayed in an actual house before. I never had a roof to shelter me when it was raining at night. I always had hydroxia. Just me and her, together forever. Or so I thought... I nodded and she stood up and walked out of living room where we had moved to.
