The Sixth Dragon (a fairytail reader insert)

Chapter Nine- The Toy Dragon

I flew until I reached a town. I asked for help from as many people as I could. Little by little people flocked to the place I had called home. Everyone putting out the remaining fires and looking for survivors.

I saw some people who I knewfromp the market and ran up to them. Someone was blocking my path and I looked up at them. "Hey kid I wouldn't bother them. They just went through something terrible and they probably done want some kids-"

"No I need to find atsume!" I yelled cutting the man off and ducked under the man's arm that had held me back. "Mr. Zaru!" He was the man form the shop that tsuki had brought me to.

Mr. Zaru looked up at me and a smile spread across his face "You're the kid tsuki was taking care of... Y/N was it?" He asked as I stopped in front of him

"Mr Zaru have you seen Atsume and tsuki I can't find them anywhere?" I asked tears forming in my eyes imagining the worst. His smile disappeared and he kneeled down next to me to look into my eyes.

"I'm sorry Y/N, no one has seen them. We thought they went with you." He looked at me, the sadness and sympathy in his eyes brought the tears in my eyes slowly roll down my face.

"No" I whispered to myself. I slowly backed away "No they can't be... They have to be alright!" I said my voice rising. I quickly turned around and went running to the house I lived in for the months I lived here.

"Wait Y/N!" I heard mr zaru's voice call to me but I didn't look back at him. When I reached the house I climbed what remained of the stairs and went to atsume's room. I dug through the rubble until I came across one of atsume's toys.

I picked up the miniature fire dragon, its wings blackened from the smoke. I heard people calling my name but I ignored them. I walked out of the house and followed the rout we had taken, looking for any signs of the mother and her son. People were running around trying to put out the fires.

"Look out!" I heard someone call and looked over in the direction of the voice. Someone was running in my direction looking worried and scared. I looked around trying to see what he was talking about.

I saw something falling, then a sharp pain went through my head and all I saw was darkness.

The first thing that I heard was the shuffling of people walking around. I slowly opened my eyes. I was in a new place. There were so many people I didn't know. it looked like a hospital. I sat up quickly and felt a pain shoot through my body. I looked down and saw that I was covered in bandages.

"Oh good you're awake." an older man pushed the curtain that was blocking me from the other people. I shuffled on my bed trying to stay away from the stranger. "Don't worry, theres no need to be frightened child." The stranger said stepping closer to me.

He was shorter with white hair and he had a beard. I didn't recognize him. "Who are you? Where is atsume?" I asked him, my voice shaking.

"I don't know who this atsume is but my name is Makarov Dreyar I'm the matser of the fairy tail guild." Makarov said with a kind smile. He put his hand out for me to shake it but I flinched. "Its ok, like said there is nothing to be afraid of. You know you have a lot of magic energy in you."

I gave him a confused look. Just then one of the nurses came in with a boy. He had spiky, rosy pink hair and was wearing a scaly looking scarf. "Master Makarov" the woman said scoldingly "You need to learn how to keep your children under control."

His children? I thought. They don't look related.

Makarov sighed "What did you do this time Natsu." He sounded like he was used to this particular boy getting into trouble.

"It wasnt my fault this time." natsu pouted. "Grey was stripping again. But that coward ran away just to get me in trouble."

"I let you two come on this trip for a learning experience. Not to be playing around." makarov was scolding him but I just stared at my bed, not paying attention to their conversation

"Anyway" Makarov said turning to me. I looked up at him and he grabbed a clipboard and read something on it "Ah Y/N."

"How do you know my name?" I asked. I didn't remember telling him, or anyone for that matter, my name.

"Your friend Mr. Zaru told the doctors here. But I was going to ask, how would you like to join the fairytail guild?" He asked me with a smile.

I was quiet for a moment trying to think. I don't think I've ever heard of Fairytail. "Whats fairytail?" I ask

Natsu looks shocked. "How do you not know what Fairytail is? It's only the greatest wizard guild in the- ow!" Makarov hit him in the back of his head

"What was I saying just now young man!" He said to natsu then turned back to me "Fairytail is a place for wizards to get jobs. Although, the main difference between fairytail and any other guild is that fairytail isn't just a guild, its a family. So Y/N what do you think? Would you like to join Fairytail?"
