"Hey look out!" I look up to see the source of the voice. someone is on a carriage and it looks to be out of control. the carriage is heading towards a small girl who chased a ball out onto the street.
without thinking I drop the toy dragon and sprint to the girl.
"Y/N wait!" master calls to me. I ignore him and continue to run.
the little girl notices the carriage and looks paralyzed by fear. I reach her, pulling her with me, not slowing down. I stumble when I hear the carriage crash, falling with the girl in my arms. I slowly open my eyes, still hugging the girl.
"hey its ok." I say when I see her crying. I lift my hand that was holding the ball she dropped and she smiled.
"eve!" I saw a young woman running in our direction.
must be her mother I thought and the woman came and hugged the small child.
natsu was the first to reach me. "that was awesome!" he exclaimed. grey and master followed not far behind.
"that was not 'awesome'" master said in a scolding tone "you could have gotten seriously hurt! we haven't even gotten to the guildhall yet and there's already trouble."
after many scolding words from master and thank yous from the mother we reached the guildhall. it was a big building with a golden logo on the front spelling out fairytail. the sign had two fairies with tails on either side of the lettering.
"race ya" natsu said before running in the direction of the guildhall.
grey ran after him "hey no fair you got a head start!" he shouted at the pink haired boy.
I stayed and walked beside master. "aren't you going to join them Y/N?" he asked me and I just shook my head slightly, watching the rebellious, hyper boys running ahead of us.
natsu got to the door first and very violently opened the door "we're back!" ha announced being met by many smiling faces.
"ah hey natsu how was the trip? you didn't give master any trouble did you?" a young girl, around my age, with scarlet colored hair walked up to natsu. she was wearing some kind of armor like top with a white skirt and a sword sheathed in her belt.
natsu jumped at the sight of the red head and gave her a nervous smile. "oh h-hey erza..." he looked like he was kind of scared of her. I didn't think it was possible for the overenthusiastic boy to look so... nervous and scared.
as if he read my mind, grey came up behind he making me jump. "erza beat natsu in a fight and now he's scared of her" he laughed bringing the attention of the armored girl to him
"and grey how were you on this trip?" she didn't seem to notice me now standing behind master.
"oh come on erza stop giving them such a hard time. they just got back" another girl with white, short hair came up behind erza with a kind smile.
"oh hey lisanna" natsu greeted her. she smiled at him and waved then turned her gaze to master.
she saw me hiding shyly behind him "who's this" she asked the older man. I hid farther behind him but gave her a shy smile
"honestly I didn't even notice she was there" I heard erza whisper to yet another girl who was wearing a purple crop top with a purple bow holding her hair in a ponytail.
"wow way to be self centered" she said.
"what did you say you-" erza snapped back at the girl only to be cut off by a kind looking boy who also had white hair.
"hey no need to fight." he put his arms out to block the girls glares to each other.
I looked at the three white haired kids. they look alike, maybe they're related. I was pulled from my thoughts at the mention of my name.
"this is Y/N. she's going to be joining fairytail."

after I got my guild mark on my leg, everyone welcomed me in fairytail.
"so Y/N." Mirajane, the oldest of the three white haired siblings (them being lisanna and elfman Strauss) greeted me putting her arm over my shoulders. "what type of magic do you use?"
"umm I- I use..." I stuttered quietly, nervous about being around so many new people.
"I bet its something cool!" natsu said enthusiastically
"I mean you did run in front of that carriage to save that little girl so you must have known it could help you." grey chimed in.
"you guys let her speak!" lisanna told them "also stop crowding her."
I gave her a thankful smile "I use water dragon slayer magic" i say quickly.
everyone was quiet. even the adults at the nearby tables silenced, all of them staring at me in shock.
oh no... did I do something wrong already?
