Chapter Twenty- The Little Dog

The next day, Flame and I are looking at the request board. Natsu and Happy are looking for their own job next to us. Flame hands me a job asking for help getting rid of some sea beast.

"This ones perfect for us N/N. (nickname)" Flame says. I look at the flyer. It shows a blurry picture of some kind of monster in a lake. Apparently it has been really loud and not letting the nearby townspeople sleep at night.

"Huh, ya that one does sound good."

I then hear Natsu and Happy snicker as they look down at one that they pulled off of the request board. "Hey Happy this one seems perfect for you know who." Natsu tells Happy.

"What are you two up to now?" I sigh. Happy shows me the flyer they were looking at. "No." is the only word I say.

"Aw c'mon but its perfect for her." Happy says trying not to laugh.

"But thats just mean."

"Welp, you aren't the person who we need for this one. Hey Mira!" Natsu calls to Mirajane. "We'll take this one."

"Oh no you won't." I say as I grab his arm to try and stop him. He easily drags me with him as though I'm just a bug stuck to his shirt.

I sit down on the couch in Lucy's apartment, exhausted from trying to stop Natsu from practically breaking and entering into her house. Well, its not technically breaking and entering seeing as she left the door unlocked but still, he came in uninvited.

I really need to get Erza to teach him some manners. I thought to myself.

"You knew you couldn't stop him, right Y/N?" Flame asks me.

"Ya but I had to try." I replied. "Plus you could've at least tried to help."

I heard the shower turn off in the bathroom and I look at natsu. "Last chance to go back outside and knock like a normal person." Natsu simply ignored me and sat down on the couch next to me. I sigh and look down at my feet and fidget nervously as Lucy comes into the room in her towel.

"Huh!?!" She says confused "What- Why- Get out of my room!" She says angrily as she throws something from her desk at Natsu which he catches with ease. What he didn't know was that she threw something else which did end up hitting him.

"Hey ow!"

"I am so sorry!" I apologize. "I tried to stop them from coming in."

"Hey whats this?" Natsu asks Lucy as he picks up a stack on papers from her desk.

Lucy looks really embarrassed as she snatches the papers from him, stepping on his foot. "Its none of your business!" She yells at him holding the papers to her chest.

Lucy changed into her normal clothes, me having to push Natsu into the other room while she changed. Lucy ended up making tea and putting out biscuits for us to have.

"Alright what did you come here for?" Lucy sighs.

"They came here for you to-"

"Nothing!" Flame says as she shoves a biscuit into my mouth. I grunted at her. "We came just to check in on you." She lied.

"Ya" Natsu and Happy agree, nodding their heads.

"Alright well as you can see I'm perfectly fine." She says obviously upset about the uninvited guests in her home.

"Ok good now how about we leave her alone and-"

"Aw c'mon N/N." Flame cuts me off. "Why don't we get to know the newbie?" I give Flame a dirty look and she retorts by playfully sticking her tongue out at me.
