Chapter Seven- A New Style

Atsume's mom had burst into the room looking scared. Her eyes scanned the room as her eyes grazed past me she stared at me in shock. I still had my water wings out and I was carefully placing the picture frames back onto the wall. I turned toward her looking down at my feet as my wings slowly evaporated.

She was still staring at me not knowing what to say, dumbfounded. "Who- What in the-" She stuttered millions of emotions appearing in her face at once. Shock, confusion, and a whole bunch of other emotions too mixed in to be able to tell what they were

Is she mad at me. I thought worried that I would be kicked out "I'm sorry I didn't mean to..." I mumbled, not meeting her eyes. I could feel her eyes on me and I slowly look up

"I- well- I mean its- its ok but... Where In the world did you learn magic?" She asked "And at such a young age..." Her voice trailed off. I began to bend down and pick up the pieces of glass that have been scattered around the room. "Wait don't-" She darted to my side but I had already picked up the glass.

I felt it make a small slice into my finger and I adjusted it to lay flat, wincing a little at the pain. "Its ok ill pick it up." I said in a rush, continuing to pick up the bigger pieces with my hands getting small cuts.

I felt a hand grab my wrist as I went to pick up another piece. "Stop you're cutting yourself." I heard atsume's voice and looked up at him. His mom ran out of the room and only a few minutes later she came back with a broom and a dustpan.

A couple days have passed since that day. We had cleaned up the small mess I made and I explained to atsume's mom, who's name I learned was Tsuki, where I learned magic. I told her about how hydroxia is a dragon and I explained my magic to her. of course I had left some stuff out.

Tsuki had brought me with her into the market place where me and atsume had first met. I had no other belongings other than the few things I had brought with me. So tsuki said that she was going to buy me some new clothes.

After going to a few shops, I had chosen one dress, one shirt and a pair of pants. "Are you sure that's all you want?" Tsuki asked. She had insisted that I get more than what I had gotten multiple times but I said no.

"I'm fine" I replied. Atsume had been complaining about going to so many stores so I asked if we could go to the park while tsuki continued to shop.

On our way to the park, we had stopped at a candy store. Atsume had a small bit of money with him so we each bought one small candie. I got a (choose candy) and atsume got a chocolate bar.

when we reached the park we went to go to the swings. we were swinging for a while, chatting with each other, when...
"hey!" someone called to us. the person didn't sound friendly so I decided to ignore it. I looked at atsume and gave him a "just ignore it" face, which he understood. "hey don't ignore me!" the same person called to us again.
I looked back to see a boy a few years older than us. what I didn't know was that it was Roba from the first day I arrived here. "what do you want?" I asked turning back to the way I was before.
"hey Y/N don't" atsume whispered to me as Roba started to walk towards us. Roba grabbed the chain holding up the swing I was on and spun me to face him. he got really close to my face, glaring at me
"you're that girl who humiliated me in front of my friends." he told me angrily.
"hey Roba she's sorry she didn't mean to-" atsume tried to calm him down but Roba just continued to talk to me, ignoring atsume
"do you know what happens to people who make fun of me?" Roba said and before I could react to him, he grabbed me by my new shirt and threw me to the ground.
