Alina
I found myself on James' bed when I woke up. It took me a solid two minutes to process everything that had happened around me last night. My mate had regained his consciousness and we had spent a lot of time talking. I somehow ended up falling asleep and the next thing I know, he was not in the room. I was alone. I rolled a little on his bed, burying my face in his pillows, inhaling his scent.
"You should get up," James said walking inside the room.
I hurriedly moved and got my face out of his pillows. He definitely saw me sniffing his pillows like a creep. I groaned and covered my face with my palms, embarrassed.
James chuckled. "We have a lot to discuss today. I want you to be a part of it."
I peeked at him through the space between my fingers. He was looking at me. Awkwardly I put my palms away from my face and ran my fingers through my hair. I knew I looked like a bird's nest and tried to tone my hair down.
"I'd always be attracted to you, regardless of how you look." I heard James state calmly. "-Because of this mate-bond it's nearly impossible to not be attracted."
My cheeks heated up. He was sitting at the far end of the room, where Drake and Jace sat the previous night. I rolled on my side, hesitant to leave the bed.
"Are you expecting some major discussion today?" I asked.
James nodded. "We are expecting to have a discussion about the recent trend of attacks. We found an abandoned wolf in our territory and so did our visitors."
I gasped. "The time span feels rather shady."
"Tell me about it. I feel they have been sneaking inside pack territories for a while now." James furrowed his eyebrows. He was trying to come up with different scenarios.
"So what is the plan now?" I questioned, sitting up on the bed.
James shook his head and sighed. "To be frank, I can't stop thinking about you. Let alone think about possible plans. I feel so attached, my wolf won't stop whining. He wants to be close to you."
I saw James blush as he confessed his feelings. I couldn't help but smile. "Come here." I gestured him to come to bed.
His eyes widened as he traipsed his way towards the bed and sat in front of me. I pulled him into a hug, rubbing my nose against his neck.
I was sniffing his scent a lot more than usual.
He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me onto his lap.
"You look so adorable." James cooed into my ears. He touched my hair and lightly tugged at some stands. I groaned and placed my palms on his cheeks, looking at his eyes. His honey-brown eyes glistened with excitement.
"I love the way you look at me." He whispered. My gazed refocused on his lips as he spoke. Without any hesitation, I leaned forward and pressed my lips against his. The sparks ran all over my body once again. He groaned and flipped us over on the bed. He hovered on top of me, leaving traces of small kisses all over my face before tugging on my lips with his teeth. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him close to me.
He kissed me once again and pulled away. I whimpered and sighed. I was indeed lusting after my own mate.
"As much as I'd love to continue, you really need to get up and get dressed. We have to leave in an hour." He said fixing his shirt. He was wearing a white full-sleeved shirt with the sleeved tucked around his elbows and black jeans.
"I thought you were expecting guests?" I frowned, "Where exactly are you taking me then?"
"We decided to have our discussion outside the packhouse, confidentially," James answered getting up from the bed. "You get ready we will be leaving soon."

It didn't take long for us to reach the secret base. It was a fairly large building, smaller compared to a pack house but, bigger than the families of the usual house own inside the territory. It was painted grey on the outside with wooden interiors.
"So this is your confidential meeting?" I asked looking around. I could clearly see around fifty pack members inside the house cleaning and rearranging the decorations. Some members carried the documents whereas Drake was holding on to the Book of Myths.
Drake chuckled and nodded. "We are going to have around a hundred fighters guard the area."
I saw Jace having a chat with James around the corner. James had a frown on his face as he looked at his brother intently explain some things to him. The house was prepared to welcome the visitors.
"This feels like a wedding," I commented looking at the decorations. They even had fresh new curtains draped around the windows. I could smell it.
Drake snorted and mumbled, "Eh, fancy decorations for fancy guests."
Curiously I asked, "Who are coming over?"
I spaced out as a familiar scent hit my nostrils. It was just then the doors opened and Neil walked in.
"Neil!" I yelled and ran up to him. He looked surprised for a second but soon opened his arms and engulfed me into a tight hug.
"I missed you," I mumbled, embracing him tightly.
"I missed you too." He said patting my head. "How have you been?"
"I see Beta Neil is getting all the love and adoration from our Alina." I heard a familiar voice speak from behind. "Save some for me too."
Ron appeared from behind with a smile on his face. I pulled away from the hug and looked at Doctor Ron. He was wearing white as usual.
"Alina." Twenty more members from the Red Blood pack called out to me, each and every face familiar and well acquainted.
I gave them a firm nod and stood beside Neil as Drake welcomed Neil and our pack members inside. However, James shooting daggers through his glares from the corner didn't go unnoticed by both Neil and I.
