Having gotten home, Stevie and Lindsey decided to eat their dinner at his place which meant sitting on the floor around the coffee table.
Over time, his place was together and he did have a small table for two in the corner of his kitchen, but it was almost more cozy to sit on the floor with one another and discuss what their day brought or just things that were coming up in future. For instance, Lori's wedding was soon.
"So, when you said you loved me..." she had to point out. "You mean that or was that you being annoying like usual?"
He actually smirked.
"Because here's the deal, mister..." she kind of pushed him down at the side so she could lay on top of him and that came easy since they were already seated on the floor, near the couch. "It's really impossible not to love you, but I'm not quite, quite sure how I feel. I enjoy your company very much so and I do get sad when one of us has to leave, but love is an interesting word."
Wrapping his arm around her waist, he stared up at her gorgeous features, "That's okay," he shrugged.
"It is?" her relaxed expression actually distorted.
"Well, we've only been together about a month and week or so... Something like that, right? I mean, who's counting?" he smirked.
"Who's counting?" she mocked in return with a small laugh.
"Anyway, yeah, I've developed feelings... Doesn't mean you have," he shrugged. "But I thought it was a rule that we don't talk about how we feel? I thought we were supposed to just let it all happen."
"We are," she pushed herself up. "You just caught me off guard earlier... I wanted to know how you felt and tell you how I feel so I don't come off like a bitch later when it's a question. For now, you know and if that doesn't bother you..." she arched a brow at him. "I really do wonder what's wrong with you. Why do you have to be so fucking perfect, Lindsey? It really makes me feel bad if I mess up somehow."
"Don't worry about it---I'm far from it," he cupped her face with one hand and he kissed her lovingly.
"That's what it is..." she pulled away and opened her eyes.
"What?" he swiped her face and hair as he answered softly.
"You're a liar... I'm telling you, I couldn't have built a better model if that was ever a choice."
"New rule---" he mentioned.
"What?" she creased a brow.
"No calling me perfect anymore because when I say it to you, you get mad. We have to use different words now."
"Okay, that's the other thing and I forgot so soon," she pushed him down again. "You're an asshole when you feel like it," she smirked as she went forth with kissing him and kind of unbuttoning the front of her uniform.
"I don't care---as long as I'm not perfect anymore," he assured.

It was later that night, just before midnight that the two were tucked in bed, clutched at each other's side since they had moved there some time before.
"So, I was wondering if you wanted to take a trip up to San Jose with me," he asked as his fingertips roamed her bare arm.
Looking up a bit, "To meet your parents?" she asked, turning over to sit up.
"Yeah, why not?" he asked. "We haven't gotten to it yet and I'm sure I owe my mom and dad a visit. I can only think it will be better if my brothers aren't there because they will make me miserable."
