Before they all knew it, Christmas morning had approached and all the days of wrapping gifts and preparing things were soon coming to an end and it was crazy for Lindsey because he just happened to get there in time for his daughter's first Christmas.
Sitting on the floor with the baby, Stevie and Lindsey were helping her open the presents because there were a ton that were for her and they were just in their own little world as Lori took photos of them.
The baby was in a happy mood just looking around because the room was so colorful due to the different wrapping paper all over the floor, the lights hanging around the house, the ornaments on the tree, the tinsel and all the garland and holly. Mostly, she was playing with the wrapping paper between her fingers because it had her more enticed than anything.
"Nothing like a box or paper that gets a baby going more," Barbara mentioned knowing full and well from her own experience as she brought Jess his medication to him.
"Seriously," Stevie laughed a little as Lindsey opened up the toys for her. "She just doesn't know we'll all be getting some use out of her gifts," she kissed the top of her head.
It was moderately early when Lori, Chris and Barbara awoke; the latest risers so the early birds waited for them to get acquainted before opening presents and that gave Stevie and Lindsey an opportunity to feed the baby and make some breakfast for the whole family ahead of time. After the baby ate from a bottle, only her third day trying it for the sake of Lindsey wanting to be of help to his girlfriend, he changed her and played with her---keeping her nice and upbeat for the hours to come.
At just about four months old, the baby was starting to eat solid jar food, so Lindsey actually got to partake in the beginning of that stage for her and that's when he fed her if Stevie wasn't breastfeeding like before. But already, the young mother was doing her best to re-plan her routine, wanting to incorporate Lindsey into the mix any way she could because she knew he was over the moon to be a father in the first place.
Later on, Barbara was to cook Christmas dinner with the help of her daughters, but Stevie still wanted to take away from the stressfulness of a joy filled day by taking on the brunt of the morning, her father's morning routine plus her own baby before everything really started.
"Say cheese!" the redhead came over abruptly---flashing the camera right in Stevie, Lindsey and Rosemary's eyes.
"You're gonna blind my baby with that thing," Stevie scolded, trying to see passed the spot she was stuck seeing.
"I'm used to it," Lindsey smirked as he continued with his tasks.
"I'll bet," she laughed as she ran her fingers through the baby's dark strands. "Look, Rose---look what Santa brought you," she mentioned, pointing out.
The baby looked at wherever her mother pointed, but she didn't know what to make of it. She then reached her arms out and slammed them down on the box, more enthralled by that than anything.
"You're a silly girl," Lindsey cooed, smiling at her because she had a big personality in his eyes. "So, here's your presents from me," he chuckled---handing over a small box and a couple bigger boxes to his girlfriend.
"You didn't have to get me anything," she had to mention---really wishing he hadn't because she felt she didn't deserve anything from him for all that she pulled.
"Well, too bad---I already did," he pulled his baby in close so they could watch the blonde open everything. "They were meant for a long time ago, but we clearly had complications."
She started off with the bigger boxes only because the small one unnerved her; she knew it had to be something expensive and that alone made her uncomfortable since her parents were there.
