"I have a stupid question..." Lindsey mentioned as he plopped into her bed for the night while she was roaming between her bedroom and bathroom.
"I doubt that, but give it whirl," she encouraged as she took a seat on a chair to start putting moisturizer on her skin.
He smirked, "So, actually I have a couple questions and some suggestions. First; I don't know how you kept being pregnant from me at all because that's all I see now. Literally, all I look at is your stomach and I can see the slight roundness... And no, you're not getting fat."
"Believe me, it was getting tough," she assured with wide eyes and a stifled laugh. "I have been doing my best since I got the call about your dad... And then I was freaking out internally because you kept wrapping your arms around my hips, your hands kept landing on my stomach---but like I said, you've had a fuzzy week and weren't concerned with anything else."
He kind of nodded, hanging his head with pursed lips.
Looking at him from the short distance, she shot a sympathy filled smile. Coming near, she pulled back her side of the bed and she crawled in, kind of nearing him to give him a kiss. "By the way, this is the first night I'm gonna sleep comfortable with you because now you know and I'm gonna need you as a human pillow. My hips hurt really bad, my back hurts... My neck hurts too, but that's just a me problem, I think."
"I'm sorry," he fell back flat and he wrapped an arm around her gently, urging her to get comfortable. "I'm sorry I haven't really asked about how you're feeling."
"No, don't worry about me... I'm just complaining," she pulled her robe off and she threw it across the chair near her vanity. Sliding under the covers, "I know there is no possible way I can really keep your mind off of the ongoing subjects, but I want to at least alleviate that by keeping you bright and cheery. Mind you, I've had loads of time to think, my love, about all the things in the world. I've not been doing any school related things, I've been working less---taking your advice on smelling the flowers and quite frankly, it is doing me well. I'm not totally used to it yet, but it's working."
"I think any woman in your condition should be taking it easy, darlin'," he ran his fingers through her blonde tresses. "I wish I would've known---I'd have been taking care of you from the beginning."
"I don't need to be taken care off---I've done well for the last, almost nine years on my own."
"Okay, you can bring your stubborness down a notch, blondie," he tugged at her hair gently.
Smiling, she turned over to her side and she curled up gently--- "I was actually going for another topic and I was thinking, kind sir..."
"Alright, enlighten me of your thoughts," he smirked.
"Okay, so..." she trailed, wiggling around a bit. "I've been going a little crazy since I have not too many things to do. So, I've been planning on a lot of things such as; names, color themes, clothes and a lot."
"You know what it is?" he looked down, quite surprised that she wouldn't have mentioned it.
"Not yet," she inclined. "But when I find out, it'll be a surprise for you when the time actually comes. See for me, there is a certain need to be on top of things and I have to be prepared. I don't want there to be a surprise and we buy the wrong kind of stuff. Thus far, I've crocheted a lot of neutral colored clothing such as cream and white, plus it's keeping me busy."
"You know how to do a lot of things, huh? Crocheting, didn't think you'd have the patience for something like that..."
"My mother taught me how to crochet when I was five; sew, needlepoint and embroidery when I was around eight and I know how to knit, but I like crocheting better. When I was in high school I would embroider little stars and such things into my jeans. Sure, I didn't do a lot of things before I met you, but as I've said, you've opened me to a lot of new things slash things I used to do. And now I'm doing more since I have no work to do. I've read a lot since you've been gone and I finally read that book you got me, Triad..."
