It was Wednesday; the day she would find out if she was pregnant for real or not. A big, scary day in the young blonde's opinion.
Robin and Lori were going to go with her since Lindsey just believed they were going to go to the bridal shop, but he didn't mind because he was happy to have seen her start decompressing like he told her. What would have been a better way to start, in a female's case, than by shopping.
Lindsey was aware she had a doctor's appointment, but the time and date was unbeknownst to him since she had only ever said next week, from the day she had begun feeling ill.
"Alright, so..." Stevie trailed as she and the girls starting piling into the Mercedes. "Whatever we find out today---we keep it to ourselves, Lori, do not tell my parents. I have to figure a way to tell them that---they'll be pleased but I'm still nervous..."
"Why do you look at me?" the redhead questioned her subtle pre-accusation.
"Because you'll open your mouth to my brother and then he'll slip. So, really, I'm saying to not tell anybody," she pointed.
"We won't," Robin assured. "But we are really excited."
She kind of glanced over as she turned the car on and she formed a tiny upwards curl to her lips. "I guess it is exciting, but it not being planned was and is a downer..."
"Steph, try not to think of that part of it," her friend placed her hand over her forearm, squeezing it ever so gently. "Babies are blessings and that's good---you need that in your life."
"It feels like my life is just beginning. In a year or so, it would be different. I'm trying to see the world and be part of a business if not my own. Y'know, I didn't think that would be held back by a child... I'm just so not ready if that's the case."
"Well, if it makes you feel better---with Lindsey as the father---you'd never be bored or alone," Lori commented. "Think about all the fun things you could do as a family with your guitarist of a boyfriend."
"Yeah, as much as that sounds fun---I really don't plan for ways to spend his money. I'm thinking of ways to make my own."
"You have gotten a lot of offers for work. You were offered a paying position for over the summer at the school. That could work for you," the redhead mentioned.
"Speaking of, did you get to make up the final?" she easily whipped around to ask.
"I did," she assured. "I passed the class with a C, but stop changing the subject," she pointed sternly from the backseat.
"I just have a lot to think about, so, let's just get to the appointment and then we'll see how the dresses are doing."
That simple switch caused Lori to start rambling on about the wedding; dresses, the cake, plans and things that were already set up with Barbara's help.
Meanwhile, Stevie tried to drown herself in her soon to be sister in-law's world due to her first destination determining her life. That's what it felt like at least.

Sitting on the examining table with one leg crossed over the other as well as her arms, she was wagging her foot unconsciously out of the nerves eating away at her.
Lori was sitting on the doctor's swivel chair while Robin was in a normal chair that was up against the wall.
"Oh, my gosh... They're taking forever," the blonde grumbled as she pushed herself off the bed like table, where she began pacing about the place.
"Calm down, Stevie," Robin advised. "All they're doing is taking blood and then they'll call you later."
"Yeah, I know..." she sighed. "I'm just a little anxious because it's pretty clear, y'know?"
