When the next morning arrived, Stevie was up and roaming around, what had been her bedroom for the last several months, and she was able to get an early start since Rosemary was still in a deep sleep. Nowadays, it came natural for the blonde to wake up really early or just before the baby did, when normally, she was a late morning or noon riser.
It would have been an understatement to say she had begun getting up early when the baby came, because she started getting up early and losing sleep before the baby came just because she was entirely uncomfortable the last couple months of her pregnancy. Until she had experienced it for herself, she would have never known how awful it was truly going to be at the end, though she had more respect for herself because she did happen to have her baby naturally and that pain was something she would have never signed her body up for to endure, but she made it happen and she believed she gained a perfect angel.
Stevie was already showered and dressed with light makeup on her face the moment Rosemary opened her eyes to start fussing.
"I'm right here, sweetheart," she said quietly---just her voice causing the baby to calm down. She gathered her up in her arms and flowed about the room slowly as she collected the things she needed in order to change her. She also opened the curtains and window, wanting some natural light to brighten the dark room as well as fresh air. Laying her down at the foot of the made bed, all she could really do was smile at her child's sweet face; her giant brown eyes, rosy cheeks and cream skin as she quietly sucked on her pacifer. "So, what did you think of daddy?" she whispered, babbling to her.
The baby kept her eyes on her mother, just listening to whatever it was the woman was saying.
"He's the best, huh? He's very special and I think you two are gonna be inseparable," she arched a brow as teen years overcame her mind in a flash. Shaking her head, "We won't get too ahead of ourselves, but I just know you're going to grow to love him very much---I did and I thought I couldn't love anybody. But then I met you and you changed that for me and you made me realize how much I do love your daddy. But you have to be daddy's little girl, okay?" she smiled as she grabbed a fresh onesie and socks for her feet.
Rosemary took her pacifier out of her mouth just to gurgle on about whatever was happening in her baby brain.
She helped her sit up and she placed her hands around her back to keep her steady. "Is that so?" she asked, humoring the girl who continued to make her little sounds.
Some time had passed during their babbling, feeding and just the normal amount of time they spent together and Stevie had the girl in her arms when she finally made her way downstairs for some tea and food for herself.
Meeting the last steps of the case, she smiled at her father. "Morning, daddy," she kissed his cheek and brought the baby closer, knowing he would want to partake in some early morning cuddles.
"Hey, sweeties," he chuckled as he clutched the baby close. "What are you guys up to this morning?" he directed at his granddaughter, but actually asking his daughter.
"Nothing much, how about you?" she asked as she put a kettle of water on the stove and looked through the fridge for something to eat.
"Just reading the paper and drinking some coffee," he explained.
"Was mom up yet?"
"She was going to come down soon," he nodded.
"Have you eaten? You want me to make you something?" the blonde asked.
"Sure," he agreed.
Since she had been there, she had been spoiling her father endlessly---doing everything she could to make him happy, even when she was exhausted, but it was because she knew he was healing from the stent they put in his heart and her mother was tired from taking care of him.
