Arriving into town, Lindsey pulled up to his childhood home before ten-thirty--- "This is it."

"It's beautiful," she smiled; taking in the yard, the pretty flowers along the edge of the front, the bright green grass, the brick pathway that led to the front door, the driveway that had a huge garage in front; it was the perfect family home.

Looking down at his watch, "We got a few hours to hang out so let's see how this goes and if we have to make a getaway..." he trailed. "Then we'll make a getaway."

Turning her head, "Telling me to relax, now I'm calm and you're having a cow," she put her hand to the side of his arm.

"Must be the driver's seat," he joked before hopping out to get the door for her.

"Thank you, kind sir," she took his hand, "and don't blame the car---you bought it."

He kind of smirked though nodded and he wrapped an arm around her waist as he guided her up the pathway. And when they approached the door, he knocked with light force.

"Okay, this is a little weird now," she mentioned. "I'm just here and this was a surprise visit. Have you told your parents about me at all? I know it was a surprise to mine, but at least Lori and Chris were there to break the ice, y'know?"

"I mentioned it to my brother, Jeff---I'm sure he told my mom---he visits her often and she asks of me all the time because he lives out there too, but he has more time on his hands to visit and stay with my parents. I'm always in the studio, working on my own, or on tour. I could've visited, but you've kept me pretty occupied," he squeezed her a little---kissing her head.

"Hey, don't blame me," she smacked his chest gently.

He chuckled as soon as her hand came into contact with him. "I was kidding... I've been working. But they also know about the Carol Ann thing---they're aware I've been staying elsewhere."

"Did you bring her here often?" she felt the need to ask as she bit her bottom lip.

Before he could reply, the door opened.

"Lindsey!" his mother beamed. "It's so good to see you, darling boy---" she stepped forward to hug him.

"Hey, it's good to see you too, mom---" he pecked cheeks with her right after.

Pulling away from him, "It's about time you've brought Stevie to visit," she looked over at the gorgeous and petite blonde.

"Oh, you've heard of me?" she extended her hand out.

"Yes, but don't worry---not from him," she smirked at her son. "I had to hear it from his brother that he was even home."

Lindsey kind of sighed with a smile on his face because he knew his mom would be scolding him most of the night. "San Jose was my very next stop, mom... I've just been busy."

"I know you're a busy man, Lindsey, but pick up a phone every now and again," she arched a brow. "Anyway, it's a pleasure to meet you, dear," as she had continued holding the girl's hand.

"Likewise, Mrs. Buckingham," she smiled.

"For heaven's sake, call me Ruth!" the woman spun around. "Come in, you guys---it's freezing out there."

"After you," Lindsey guided Stevie in first and they entered the foyer. He then closed the front door behind him.

"You have such a beautiful home," the blonde beamed, her eyes venturing as much as she could before she was seated.

"Oh, thank you..." she smiled but then looked up at her son since he was looking around just as much. "Why don't you have a seat in the dining room---I'll fix you guys something to eat."
