By the time the couple we're done with their date, they went home and Lindsey walked Stevie to her front door since that only seemed appropriate.
Since leaving the restaurant, she had been wearing his blazor and she could have sworn he brought it for her because he never put it on and even when he came to get her from her apartment, he was holding it.
"I'd invite you in, but I'd rather not have a one-night stand on the first date," she smirked.
"So, you admit you're attracted to me?" he had to point out.
She leered as she unlocked her front door.
"Fair enough," he put his hand up, chuckling in the process as he watched her.
"Well..." trailing as she slipped his coat off of her shoulders. "Goodnight, Lindsey---" she got higher on the tips of her boots so she could pull him in for a kiss. "See you," after pulling away with a small nod.
"Yeah, goodnight," he kind of took a step back, not really expecting her to kiss him at all because despite her opening to him, she seemed to still have a set of her own boundaries. He then made his way back to his place and he would get ready for bed since he was actually quite exhausted though at the very same moment, he had to admit that having dinner with her was better than some of the wild parties he attended often with his bandmates while on the road or any date he had ever been on.
Meanwhile at her place, Stevie was doing the same thing, but she went at a slower pace since all she really could think about was the fact that she kissed him.
It wasn't that it was foreign for her to kiss first, but the feeling she felt when she did certainly had her on her toes because he seemed to have a warmth she had never felt with any man before and when his lips were pressed to hers even with her encouragement, it was different than any kiss she had ever had. Aside from it feeling warm, it felt right even if it was wrong to fall for somebody with a status such as his.
Lip trilling, she went forth with getting out of her dress and high boots before slipping into a silk nighty and soon after, she went to taking her makeup off.
Normally, she slept with all her jewelry on with the exception of certain necklaces such as her long scrimshaw, but tonight, her mind was a little preoccupied that it was the last thing on her mind.
Sliding into bed, she stared up at the ceiling because all she really could think back to were his caring, ocean blue-gray eyes. And she definitely had to admit that he made her a little crazy, but it was a good crazy and though she wasn't prepared to enjoy his company, she enjoyed it a little too much and she couldn't sleep with him in her head.
As she reminisced in the thought of the guitarist, her telephone began ringing.
Creasing a brow, she turned to face her night stand and she picked it up, "Hello?"
"Damn it!" Lori yelled.
"Hey, you called me," the blonde smirked.
"You're home early..."
Looking back at her clock next to the phone, "It's almost eleven..."
"Well, what did you guys do in those four hours?"
"We talked," she shrugged, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
"Boring," the girl faked a yawn.
"Oh, for you... No, I had a great time, quite frankly. I wasn't really expecting to, but we talked about so many things and he's really interesting. He loves to read---he sounds so smart when he talks."
