Later that day, Stevie had continued to try and get ahold of Lindsey. At that point all she wanted was to know he was okay so that she could apologize because she was obviously not going to see him anytime soon. Other than the information given by the woman at the front desk of the hotel, it seemed that he had left without a trace.
But as the noon hours had crept around, the young blonde decided to just stay with her parents since Lori and Chris were gone and she really had no desire to drive back home at all. As of the beginning of this week, she had no prior engagements, her next check up was for the week following this barely started one. And aware of her own mind, she overpacked because even if the wedding was over, she wasn't expected to leave any time soon and despite thinking her parents would be badgering her to stay, she was wanting to stay more than ever especially with Lindsey gone.
Out like a light after giving up on her hunt for him, she slept more than comfortably since she had brought dark curtains to hang in the room rather than the cream sheers that did no justice shielding the Arizona sunshine.
In the last couple weeks home and her home in Scottsdale---she found herself even more fatigued than the very beginning of this journey. It was her body finally being given the chance to relax that if she didn't sleep enough she would get a headache or nausea the moment she opened her eyes. But she had never enjoyed sleep more these days---not since she was a teenager, not wanting to go to school at all. Sleeping for two was the best thing to come out of it all, thus far.
Soon, Robin crept into Stevie's room and she shut the door behind herself; having gotten the rundown of all that happened from Barbara---the night started to make a little more sense since she seen it from only a partial view.
As soon as the door shut, she opened her eyes and looked over her shoulder and she sighed a little bit but then sat up.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" she furthered herself into the bedroom and pressed a knee into the mattress to board and be of comfort.
She shrugged, pulling her knees in as she had been doing most of the times when she did sit up.
"Your mom said you've been crying and not feeling good..."
Resting her chin with a light pouty expression, "I don't feel good. Barbara knows, by the way and Jess is probably on the verge of learning, but I didn't get to tell Lindsey last night because he was being stupid with the band," she rolled her eyes a bit as she mindlessly switched her topics.
"Right," Robin agreed. "They probably shouldn't have been drinking while working... I really didn't expect that from Lindsey, but it wasn't like he played off or anything. He was very discreet, but you could see Mick knocking back beers and shots."
"I know, but it's the point. And I hope it slipped Lori's mind---she was so happy yesterday, so I feel as if it did. I'm glad she isn't here to relish in this with me today," she widened her eyes with a subtle roll right after.
"But I am, so I wanna know what happened," her childhood friend scooted up the bed to lean against the headboard so she could hear everything. "Your mom gave me some of it, but you were there."
"Y'ave the time? Where's Kim?" she had to question.
"We're leaving in a few hours---but we wanted to come by and check things out. Right now, he's meeting with some of his old friends," she patted her knee---making the blonde's legs fall flat.
Stevie looked over and kind of pursed her lips when her friend's hand met the teeny bump, sure that that was some sort of indication that she wanted to hear all the detailed emotions and feelings that went with the spat from the night before.
