Chapter 10: Starting to Accept

Kaito POV

Mindscape

You know, I've learned a few things over the past week. Number one being, Obito is a bitch. Number two, while I may be in the Mindscape training for a day since that is when I run out of stamina and need to leave, I'm only in there for six hours so I'm not able to do anything for the rest of the day.

Flashback <Earlier that week>

"Ok, how do we start training?" I was currently In the Mindscape with Obito on our designated couches. "Well, that's the hard part you see. When it comes to the accepting party, I'd say that we should do that here so you can face me at the same time." He seemed in deep thought. "Isn't that all I need to do?" I questioned. "Well no, you see since you can't use 100% of your power whenever you accept more you will gain the ability to use more power and along with those new ways to use your quirk such as 'Carnage Mode' which you will only be able to use after you have fully accepted everything." I nodded in understanding.

"So where do we start with this?" I asked Obito. "Well, I think I should explain a bit about your quirk and what It can do. First I want you to tell me your parents quirks." I was very confused by this but explained anyway. "Well, my dad had the same quirk as me 'Blood Threads' and my Mother had the quirk 'Light Manipulation' which allowed her to condense sunlight and even apply it to herself in some cases. My sister inherited my mother's quirk." Obito clapped. 

"Great, now, in reality, you didn't get just your dad's quirk. Remember how I am also able to apply our quirk to us like our mom, we inherited a combined quirk from both. It just looks like dad's because we took after him the most." I was shocked by the news. I had both my parent's quirks! I'm gonna have to rename my quirk since that's the case.

"Now starting at 60% we can use modes with our quirks." I stared at him. "I can use a 'Mode'?" Obito facepalmed. "Oh god, training you is going to be much harder than I thought." I gave a small laugh. "OK," he clapped his hands together and had a face filled with determination. "From now on, until you can use 100% of your power I'm calling you dumbass." I had a face that just said he was stupid. "WHAT THE HELL MAN!?" He put a finger on my lips quieting me. 

He sat back down on his couch and sighed. "Ok, so weapon mode which you can use lets you condense your threads into weapons that are used in close to mid-range so nothing like guns or bows can be used." I nodded and he continued. "For the next two weeks, we are going to focus on getting you to be able to use 70% of your power and access 'Dragon Mode' which is pretty self-explanatory. Claws, Wings, and a tail if you want and also scales as armor if needed." I now had stars in my eyes since I had completely stopped wearing my eyepatches that dampened my emotions and I didn't have it on when in the mindscape.

"Don't get too excited, you can only gain more power if you accept things that have happened over the years." My eyes dimmed. "Ok, so where do we start?" He smiled and snapped his fingers and the room disappeared and was replaced with the outside of my cabin. "Glad you asked."

I looked at him weirdly. "One year ago you cut off all communication with the outside world and didn't even talk to Uncle for that time till you got into UA." My eyes widened and I realized what was going on. "To gain more power you have to relive your past by seeing it and were going to start with the most recent one. When we almost killed Uncle." I had anger in my eyes. "WE? THAT WAS ALL YOU!" Obito sighed. "That's what you say but do you think I would kill our only family at the time. No, now watch closely as this happens and then maybe you will understand."
