Chapter 26: Confrontation

~1-A Class Room, 3rd Person~

Aizawa had brought Kaito to the classroom while the others were training. "So, what do you want to talk about?" Asked Kaito. Aizawa had a serious expression that made Kaito feel a bit uneasy. "I have a couple of questions I want to be answered." Kaito nodded. "First. What is your name?" Kaito was confused but complied. "Kaito Izumura," he said. Aizawa sighed.

"Second. Do you know about anything concerning your parents that happened twenty years ago?" He asked as he took out a file. Kaito thought for a second then shook his head. "Nothing comes to mind. Sorry." Aizawa sighed. Aizawa put a file down on the desk Kaito was sitting at. "This ring any bells?" Aizawa opened the file and revealed a newspaper article from twenty years ago.

Kaito looked at the file and his eyes widened. He grabbed the article and read it. He looked over it for a few minutes and slowly laid it back on the table. "So. You realize you've been caught imposter." Aizawa realized something was wrong. Kaito was shaking and as pale as a ghost. Aizawa snapped to try to get his attention but to no avail. "What the hell?" Aizawa put a hand on Kaito's shoulder. 

Kaito jumped in his seat. "You good kid?" Aizawa saw that he was sweating and paler than before. "Something isn't right. If this kid was an imposter he wouldn't look this shocked or scared." Aizawa took the file and put it away again. "Maybe I should take him to Recovery Girl." Aizawa sighed and looked back at Kaito and saw him passed out on the ground. "SHHHHHHHIIIIIIIT."

~Time skip~

Aizawa sat in the infirmary with Recovery girl as she looked over the file from earlier. She sighed and shook her head. "Sorry. I did a blood test and a DNA test but both came back with data saying he is Kaito Izumura." She set the file down on a table. "So. Do you think it may be possible?" Recovery Girl nodded. "I would say it makes the most sense. It would also explain a few things such as how he survived with the injuries both during the recent fight and three years ago." She sighed and looked at the passed out boy. "I don't know how or why but this boy is not Kaito Izumura but he has his body." 

Aizawa sighed. "This is the most illogical thing ever." RG nodded. "I agree. Though, do you think this will awaken some kind of hidden memories from long ago he didn't know he had." Aizawa shrugged. "We have no idea of knowing until he wakes up. Until then, we wait." The two waited for three hours for him to wake up.

~Three hours later~

Kaito slowly started to wake up. "Ugh." RG looked up and saw that he was awake. "Hello there. How are you feeling?" Kaito shook his head. "I have a headache but that's about it." Recovery Girl nodded. "Well, we have some... troubling things to tell you." Kaito had a small idea of what she wanted to say and sighed. "Ok." RG went and woke up Aizawa. Once he was up they started talking.

Aizawa sighed. "This is going to sound extremely illogical, but you aren't who you think you are. It took me a while but I think I have an idea about you." Kaito nodded. "I think I may have an idea as well." Aizawa had a confused look. "What do you mean?" Izumura sighed. "Not long ago I started to have these... visions I guess. In these, I normally hear and see things. They consist of doctors and machines. I will hear a deep voice normally and he would always say the same thing. KI-6. I don't know what it means but I think it's important." Aizawa nodded. 

"Well, at least you know a bit about your situation. Now. From what we think the most likely situation is that you have the original Kaito Izumuras body. My guess is that your brain was given all the memories of your 'original' so that you wouldn't suspect anything." Aizawa sighed. "I have no idea what you are honestly, but I do think that this place with doctors is where you. The new Kaito Izumura was 'made' or born." Kaito could only nod in response.
