Chapter 16: Meeting The Intern

Kaito POV

It's been a couple of days since the festival ended. I've been taking it easy and just hanging out with Mina and Shinso. To be honest I'm confused. Ever since the beginning of the Sports Festival, I've been getting really nervous around Mina. I keep pushing it aside but Obito yells at me about how dense I am and how he doesn't know how I'm alive. Today we're going back to class and from what I know, we're going to choose where we intern today.

Soon after I was in my chair Aizawa walked in. "Hello everyone. Today we're having a special heroics class." Aizawa held up a card with big blue letters. "Today you will be choosing code names." Everyone got pumped up while Aizawa explained more. Midnight came in and was in charge of letting us have normal names.

Everyone was handed a whiteboard with a marker to write our name with. "I already know what I want." I wrote my name and heard Obito huff. "Well, well, well. I see what you did there. You sure you want to go with it?" I nodded my head as people started to get called up.

Aoyama was the first to go up. "I Cannot Stop Twinkling" I could sense the awkwardness in the room and then Midnight took the board. "Ok, get rid of the I and change Cannot to Can't." Aoyama nodded and went back to his seat. Next up was Mina, she tried to go with "Alien Queen" it was shot down by Midnight. 

After Tsu went up. "I've been thinking of this name since elementary. The Rainy season Hero: Froppy." Claps came out of the class and she went to sit down. After everyone went it was finally my turn. "Izumura, it's your turn." I stood up and went to the front of my class and put down the name. 

"The BloodMoon Hero: Crimson Moonlight." I saw Midnight smile. "What made you choose that?" I looked down and clenched my fist. "Two years ago my parents and sister died right in front of me. I froze, I was scared and couldn't do anything. I wasn't strong enough to protect them." I looked up and saw everyone looking right at me. "In two years, I've grown and gotten stronger. I won't be slow again. My parent's hero name was Red Sunshine. It feels right to redo the name and give it a second chance. Even if it's not with the same people, I will take their name and give it new meaning." 

I finished my little speech and most started to clap. "Hell yeah Kaito, you go this bro." I heard Kirishima say. "I'm sure you're going to become a great hero," Mina said that. More was said but I was too happy to hear. "I'm doing it guys. I'm becoming a hero." I nodded and went to take my seat. 

A paper was handed out with the number of requests for internship and also the people who wanted us. I sweatdropped at mine '5,391'. I think Mina saw it because she screamed and showed everyone. When I got it back I read the list of names. As I was reading a name caught my attention. "Nighteye?" I took out my phone and put the name in the search. "He was All Might's sidekick. I guess I should go with this." I got up and walked to Aizawa and showed him the paper and who I chose. I saw him nod and he let me go back to my seat.

-Time Skip to the day of departure- 

I was standing in a station waiting for my train to the agency to arrive. I glanced around and saw Iida with a face I knew all too well. I walked over and put a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, Iida. I heard about what happened, you ok?" I saw him nod then look down at the ground. I heard my train get called but before I left I said something. "I know that face. Don't do anything you will regret. Got that?" With that, I left and got on the train.

After I sat down and hung my head. "Obito, I need help." "The hell do you need my help for? You seem to be doing fine on your own." I sighed "Let me guess. Ashido?" I nodded. "Can we talk face to face?" I heard Obito huff but he agreed. I closed my eyes and went into the mindscape.
