She stands and turns back. "Hey. Hey!"
She ignores him and keeps going. "Damn it." Rick whispers. He looks back and the gathers us closer. He sighs. "All right, we have to downsize."
"Ain't no way we're gonna check in all them buildings." Daryl says, looking at the wall. "Not with all them guards there."
We all watch the guards on the tower, breathing heavily. A twig snaps behind us and we all spin, weapons raised, Rick and Daryl pushing me behind them.
Michonne stands behind us motioning to us with her hands. "Let's go. This way." She mouths. Daryl helps me stand as Rick whispers "All right."
We walk around the back, following Michonne. We sneak in through the basement of one of the houses. I step inside after her and look around. At least, I think its a basement.
"This is where you were held?" Rick asks her. "I was questioned." She corrects.
"Any idea where else they would be?" Rick asks her. Daryl walks towards a window, covered by a shade. I follow behind him. He pulls it open, glancing outside.
"I thought you said there was a curfew." Daryl asks her, turning back. "The street is packed during the day. Those are stragglers." She explains. I nod, looking back outside.
"If anyone comes in here we're sitting ducks. We gotta move."
"They could be in his apartment." She says. We all turn to look at her. "Yeah?" Daryl asks her. "What if they aint?"
"They we'll look somewhere else."
Rick breathes heavily, walking towards her. "You said you could help us." She watches him as he circles her. "I'm doing what I can."
"Then where the hell are they?" Oscar asks, finally speaking up. "Hey." Rick says, calling Daryl and I over. "If this goes south were cutting her loose." Rick tells us. I look over to her. "You think she's leading us into a trap?" I ask him.
"Right now its the blind leading the blind." Daryl says. I slip my hand into his. Who knows what's gonna happen if we get caught.
"Let's split up." Daryl says. He squeezes my hand at this. Suddenly we hear a knocking at the door. We all turn to face it. The door unlocks and opens slowly. "I know your in here." A man calls out. "I saw you moving from outside."
My body shakes next to Daryls. "All right now. You're not supposed to be In here and you know it." He walks up to the curtain were hiding behind and Rick charges him, pushing him against the wall. "Shut up. Get on your knees." He says, pointing his gun at his forehead. "Hands behind your back."
"Zip tie him." He tells me. I nod and shakily tie them around his wrists. "Where are our people?" Rick asks him. Daryl takes the ties from me and locks them after noticing my shaking hands.
"I don't know, I don't know." He says.Rick grabs his head. "You are holding some of our people. Where the hell are they?"
"I don't know!" He says again. Rick stares at him for a second. "Open your mouth." He says, stuffing a cloth inside. The man grunts as Rick shoves the cloth into his mouth. Daryl hits him in the back of the head with his bow, knocking him out.
Rick drags him aside by his feet. We hear guns shooting and Daryl grabs my hand again. Rick opens the door and we step outside.
Rick opens another door, leading us down a long hallway.
"Glad we could catch up." I hear someone say from behind the wall. I narrow my eyes. "On your feet, move. Let's go."
Daryl and Rick open the flash cans, throwing them inside. They start to scream and we all run in. I grab Maggie by the arm, but one of the guys shoots me, hitting the gut, thankfully just the side and I hope it missed my organs. "Fuck." I curse out, pulling her with me.
