BEING IN SHOCK WAS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. Although Lennon was overwhelmingly taught of the process it took to conceive a child, sitting in the lone hotel room knowing there was something growing inside her was too much to handle. Every ten minutes she found herself puking into the toilet bowl, sick, as she imagined the changes her body was going to go through.

Instead of letting Lennon sulk in the hotel alone ever since her hospital discharge, Jane had been making sure to visit her at least three times a day. Unfortunately she was still a hair dresser and makeup artist for the film, so she did have to go to set, but every break she could get she made sure to go right back to the hotel to be with Lennon.

Lennon, Heath, and Jane were the only people aware of the pregnancy. It had only been three days since they all learned the news, and as excited as Heath was, him not being there for Lennon was making it difficult for her. It was moments like this where Lennon wished she was close enough with her mom to explain what was going on.

It was late afternoon in Germany, meaning it was around lunch time back in New York. According to the internet, that is. After much mental deliberation, Lennon finally found the courage to dial the foreign numbers, placing her phone on the table with it on speaker. Her hands were shaking to much to hold it to her ear.

"Lennon? What's wrong?" Maggie lowly spoke through the phone.

"Why would you assume something's wrong–"

Maggie cut her off before she could finish, "Lennon you haven't spoken with me or Peter in weeks. Somethings wrong, you never call.. well, anyone really."

"Are you alone? Or are you with my brother? Or your brother? Oh my god, please say–"

"Take a deep breath, girl. I'm alone. I'm backstage at my show, I go on in about '45, I'm all ears."

"Maggie," Lennon paused, laughing momentarily when she realized how crazy she was about to sound. "I know this is gonna sound insane–"

"Oh my god, you're fucking pregnant."

Lennon stared at the phone on the table and then towards the hotel window, checking to see if Maggie had somehow magically appeared in her hotel room.

"How in the fuck–"

"You're forgetting I was pregnant once. I vividly remember this same conversation with you, Lennon." Maggie laughed, and it honestly eased Lennon's nerves to hear it.

"I'm so scared, Maggie."

"I'm gonna just make the obvious assumption that it's Heath's?" Maggie bit her lip, waiting for the response she was expecting.

Lennon nodded her head before realizing, yet again, that her sister in law wasn't in the same room as her.

"Yeah, it's definitely Heath's, like definitely, 100%, no confusion about that. I'm just so worried, I wasn't prepared for this at all. I mean he joked about it with me, but fuck, I mean I'm filming a Tarantino movie right now, I don't have time to have a kid."
