MICHELLE WILLIAMS WAS INDEED PREGNANT with Heath Ledger's unborn child. It was March, her stomach was barely showing, but the prospect of giving birth come October was popular topic of discussion. For the couple, bringing a child into the world couldn't seem like a better idea. Heath had always dreamed of being a father, a dad, one that would do anything and everything for their baby. They had yet to find out the gender, something neither of them cared to know. For Heath, a baby boy would be ideal, but God... if he had a girl, he knew he would completely spoil her.
Brokeback Mountain's release date had finally been revealed, December 9th in Los Angeles. Depending on the circumstances with the baby, Heath and Michelle knew they probably wouldn't be attending the opening, but were relieved to know that Ang wouldn't mind.
As for Lennon, her Manhattan apartment was in complete and utter turmoil. The ceiling to floor windows remained covered with thick curtains to block out any sunlight, and the house phone was unplugged from the wall. Her fridge had the remains of a day old cheese pizza and a half-full bottle of Jack Daniels.
The living room was probably the worst sight of the entire apartment, though. Since Lennon felt laying in her bed was too far away from everything, the L shaped couch became her new bed. Two thick white comforters consumed her body as she laid in the corner. Her head was adjusted to see the new special on E! News that was on the television.
"Christian Bale, our new Batman, lands at JFK airport, but where's his girlfriend Lennon Sarsgaard? Stay tuned for the story!"
"Oh, fuck off Giuliana Rancic," Lennon threw a Cheez-it at the tv. She had thrown several throughout the last few days, enough to move a trash can in front of it.
Although she had promised Christian to go see him in Los Angeles, the desire to leave the comfort of her home was far less than it had been when she last saw him. It was a weird relationship that they had, but one that was common amongst all Hollywood relationships. Especially considering that he lived in California and she lived in New York.
He called multiple times, even contacted Jake through the help of Chris Nolan in an attempt to reach out to Lennon, but she never answered. It wasn't that she didn't want to answer, it was that she couldn't. The house phone had been disconnected and her flip phone was smashed to pieces on her bathroom floor after a heavy night of drinking. Peter had visited her a few days after she returned from England, worried that her phone was going straight to voicemail.
Peter was the only one that visited, and it was kind of depressing to realize he was the only one who really cared. Or that he was the only one with nothing better to do. Lennon honestly found it embarrassing that he was the only one she could really talk to, the only one who had always known what was really going on with her. She was never one to have girl friends, every one that she had caused some sort of unnecessary drama that she didn't want. It was unfortunate that she didn't have a woman to confide in. There was Maggie, but Maggie was more of a mom than anything else. She wasn't someone that Lennon found comfort in hanging out with— aside from anything to do with her brother.
