THE DARK KNIGHT began production in early March, although Lennon didn't fly out until two weeks in. Christian and Aaron were already in the city when she arrived, and they welcomed her with open arms onto set. The identity of whoever was playing the Joker remained a mystery to everyone besides Chris, although Christian had a slight idea when he overhead the director speaking with one of the makeup artists.

It was a late Thursday afternoon, and Lennon was sitting in the makeup chair while Jane began to do her eyeshadow. She was doing the look they had decided that Rachel would be wearing for the party scene at Bruce's penthouse, a subtle yet sexy look.

"Have you seen this joker guy?" Lennon asked after a few moments of silence. She didn't like to talk while getting her makeup done; she always had a feeling that she would make Jane mess up.

Jane shook her head no, "I haven't. He has his own makeup artist and everything, Chris is really adamant about surprising us all."

"I have a scene with him, after this," she motioned between the two. "Then I'm off to set to go see him. I'm kind of nervous? Should I be nervous?"

"As long as it's not Johnny Depp I think you'll be fine. If it's Johnny Depp then, well, I might scream."

Lennon rolled her eyes, "he's probably too busy filming another one of those pirate movies."

"I don't know, and I don't care, but I do know that Emma has been standing over there looking at us and her watch for at least ten minutes."

Looking over at the producer, the two women noticed that Emma was indeed eyeing her watch and them. She rose her brows and pointed at the small clock urging them to hurry up.

"Fuck, I need to do your lipstick still," Jane rummaged through her makeup case trying to find the shade they decided on a month earlier. After a few seconds of throwing around pallets, she pulled out the small tube and delicately traced Lennon's lips with the purple color.

"Okay, you're free. Good luck, I'll be around to do touch ups if you need it."

Carefully standing from her chair, Lennon slipped the low heels back on and began to walk over to the set that was down the hall from her dressing room. She grabbed at her earrings making sure they were properly pinned while making her way to the busy penthouse set. Fake walls lined the room and there were at least fifty extras roaming around the floor.

"Lennon, perfect, I was just about to send for you," Chris walked over to her, gently grabbing her arm to drag her over to the center of the floor.

"We're starting from the scene where the joker enters through the elevator. This is the first time any of you will have seen him so I want to make sure I'm getting a genuine reaction, okay?"

Not fully listening to what Chris was saying Lennon nodded her head in agreement, pretending to understand what he explained. She stood still in her spot behind a few extras, playing with the beading attached to her dress in an attempt at easing her nerves.
