*** just making it clear that this is basically a filler chapter, i didn't want to keep making things immensely intense lol ***
THE LEAVES WERE BEGINNING TO FALL, and the ever changing weather in New York made everyone in awe. Lennon's new thing to do was walks around Central Park and everyday she went she noticed something different about the scenery. The fresh smell of leaves and trimmed grass seemed to replace the need to smoke a cigarette, it was calming to take in the scents.
Other than going for walks around Central Park, Lennon mostly spent her time with Heath inside watching old movies or discovering new music. Today though, their usual routine would be disrupted.
After weeks of walking up and down the area near Heath's old house in Brooklyn, they had finally found a house. Though not in Brooklyn, they had thoroughly discussed with a real estate agent a renovated townhouse in TriBeCa. And today was the day they would finally get to physically have a tour.
"Did you bring a water and your crisps? Incase you feel ill," Heath asked Lennon as they sat in the back of a taxi cab.
Lennon slowly nodded her head, squeezing her eyes shut as if it would remove the nauseous feeling she had. The ride from her apartment was lengthy to say the least, being that it was basically in an entirely different part of the city. As much as she was excited to tour their potential new house, the idea of moving so far from the few close people she had was a bit stressful.
"Heath," she called as he looked out the window. He turned his head towards her smiling from ear to ear like he always seemed to be lately. She was going to say this was a mistake and maybe they should just go back to the apartment, but seeing him so happy made her shake her head.
"What's up, darlin',"
Lennon waved her hand, "nothing, I thought I saw a Dark Knight poster but I was wrong."
After several more minutes in traffic they had finally arrived at the townhouse. The outside was typical, and in a way reminded Lennon of Maggie and Peter's home, but that could be said about most townhouses in New York.
"Heath, Lennon, glad to see you guys," James, their real estate agent walked over and gave Heath a handshake, ushering them up the stairs and through the front door.
"Now, I know I showed you the photos and what not, but feel free to walk around throughout get a feel for the place. I'll let you two have your time, think about it and then we can meet back down here?"
Heath nodded his head, "sure, mate. Sounds like a plan."
"Do either of you want anything from Starbucks? Figured I would go so you don't feel like I'm hounding you," James laughed.
"Honestly, a cold brew black, yeah?" Heath offered a ten dollar bill, but the older man rejected.
"I've got it, you two take your time, I'll be back within twenty."
