When I reach Jaden's door I knock and wait for him to answer. After a couple of seconds I see the door open and I'm greeted by that handsome face. Although he doesn't look as happy as he usually does. Is he actually bothered about Jace? "Come in." He says moving to the side.
I walk in and go and sit on his bed. Soon after he comes and sits next to me. "So you wanted to talk?" I ask him. "Umm yea so about last night." He pauses and he's fiddling with his fingers. "I'm really sorry about what you walked in on, it was a mistake and I promise you I'm over her and there's nothing going on between us." He says to me. "Okay well thanks for letting me know but honestly it's not any of my business. I mean we are just friends so what you do with your ex isn't something you need to explain to me." I reply
"I know, I just didn't want you to think I'm that shallow. Like I don't want you to see me as the type of guy that just keeps running back to his ex." He says. "But isn't that exactly what you did?" I ask. "If I'm being completely honest, last night I really needed a distraction and I was drunk and it was a big mistake." He replied.
"What did you need a distraction from?" I asked. I was genuinely curious. I didn't know if it was about me or if it was something else. "Oh ummm it's nothing." He says looking down. "Okay well if it's something you ever need to talk about, you know I'm here right?" I ask and he nods. "So are we good?" He asked. I nodded "We're good." He smiled and held his arms out for a hug which I gladly accepted. We stayed in the hug for a few seconds longer and I just felt so safe. I was actually kind of sad when he pulled away. I wanted it to last forever.
After our hug I went back to my room to get ready for bed. I took a quick shower and took off my makeup and contacts then cleaned my face. I dried my hair and put it up in a messy bun and then went to my closet. I put on a pair of spandex with one of Josh's hoodies and then fell asleep.
* 6 weeks later *
It's been 6 weeks since the Halloween party so I guess I should give you a few updates on what's going on in my life. Jace and I started dating like 5 weeks ago and it's been so amazing. Jaden and I haven't really been talking a lot, after he found out Jace and I were together. I have also seen Ellie around the house a lot specifically coming out of Jaden's room. She's also been a real bitch to me every time we cross paths in the house. That's about all that's new with me.
Today is Claryssa's birthday and we're having a party at the house and surprisingly Josh is actually letting me go. Right now I'm at the mall with all the girls bc we decided to go shopping last minute so we all need outfits. We go into a few stores and after a while we've all decided on what we were going to wear. We continue walking around just to waste time because we have like 2 hours until we have to be back at the house.
After walking around for a little longer we make our way back to the cars and then back home. When we arrive I grab my bags from the back and make my way to my room to start getting ready. I went over to my vanity and started straightening my hair. When I was done with that I got dressed and started on my makeup. This was the final look.

I stayed in my room for a little bit longer just to take pictures before going downstairs and finding out that the party had already started. I walked around a little to find Jace and after about 15 minutes I found him talking to a group of guys. "Hey baby." I said as I walked up to him. "Oh hey." He said. Him and I walked off so I could get a drink and then we went to the dance floor. I was honestly having so much fun. I know I've only been with Jace for a few weeks but I was so happy with him.
In the middle of dancing I looked to my left and saw something that caught my eye. Jaden was staring at us. I was a little confused why his attention was on us considering Ellie was practically throwing herself all over him. His jaw and fists were clenched and I could see the anger in his eyes. He can't possibly be jealous about Jace. I mean he's with Ellie.
After dancing for a while Jace and I go to the backyard to hang out with some of his friends. I really have to go to the bathroom so I lean over to him and tell him I'll be right back and then I make my way up to my room. I would use the bathroom downstairs because it's closer but there's probably a line.
When I come out of my room I can hear a bunch of yelling, and not like the fun party type yelling. This sounds like there's a riot downstairs. I walk downstairs looking to see if I can find out what's happening when Aleesia runs up to me looking panicked. "Lea you gotta come quick, it's Jace and Jaden." she's says to me. Aleesia and I run out to the backyard and I see the two of them on the ground throwing punches back and forth. Jaden's tall but he's a lot shorter than Jace and just smaller in general. So even though Jace was my boyfriend I was kinda of worried about Jaden, but at the same time I was mad at him.
I watched as Bryce and Josh tried to break up the fight. Bryce pulled Jace off of Jaden and Josh stood in front of Jaden trying to calm him down but he still had a lot of rage. He was trying so hard to push past Josh so I decided to step in.
I run up to Jaden and stand in front of him. "Jaden please calm down." He ignores me as he continues to yell at Jace. Seeing him like this really scared me. "Jaden please." still nothing. I grabbed his face and forced him to look at me. "Jaden stop." he pulled his face out of my grip. I grabbed him again. "No Jaden, look at me, please stop." I say on the verge of tears. All of a sudden his expression changed and he looked at me with sad eyes. "Take him upstairs." I hear Josh whisper to me. I nodded and grabbed Jaden's hand and pulled him up to my room.
All the sadness in me had suddenly turned to anger and I was ready to go off on him any second now. We get up to my room and I drag him into the bathroom. "Sit." I say sternly pointing at the counter. Jaden pulls himself up to the counter and I can see the pain in his eyes as he does. "Now explain."
