I look at my phone, 11:56 pm. At this point I don't even know if Jaden and I are gonna have our special moment. I make my way into the living room where everyone is gathered and I feel a pair of strong arms around my waist. Jaden spins me around to face him. "Hey." He says with a smile. I just look down at my feet. I'm kind of in a bad mood after what I saw in the backyard.

He lightly puts his hand on my cheek and forces me to look at him. "What's wrong?" He asks with a concerned look on his face. "Who was that girl you were with in the backyard?" I asked. His face changed. It kind of looked like he was disappointed. But was he disappointed in me or himself? This kind of worried me. I mean I know we aren't dating so he's not cheating, but I thought we had a special connection.

"Nailea, she's just a friend. I promise. I was actually talking to her about you and I wanted to introduce you guys later tonight. She said she's really excited to meet you. Okay? There's nothing going on between her and I. I wouldn't do that to you. I'm 100% with whatever is happening between us." He said. That gave me a sense of relief and I gave him a small smile.

"10, 9, 8..." We looked around and saw that everyone was counting down already. I turned to look at Jaden and he had the biggest smile on his face. He looked so cute. "4, 3, 2, 1." Jaden pulled me closer to him and our lips met. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he wrapped his around my waist. This kiss was so much better than our first one and all I felt was absolute bliss. Oh and butterflies, I felt bliss and butterflies. These damn butterflies. We pulled away from the kiss but almost immediately I pulled him back in. I never wanted this moment to end.

We pulled away again and I couldn't keep myself from smiling. Jaden leans in to whisper in my ear. "Totally worth the wait." He says. I giggle and he pulls me into his chest and kisses the top of my head. "Okay c'mon I want you to meet someone." He says. I nod and follow him out the backyard. I see the girl he was talking to earlier sitting on the couch. We walk over to her. "Nailea this is Mads, Mads this is Nailea." Jaden says introducing us. She smiles at me and pulls me into a hug. "It's so nice to finally meet you." She says. Then she turns to Jaden. "You were right, she is gorgeous." He started blushing and I could tell he was kind of embarrassed. Jaden went to hang out with the boys and gave us time to talk.

We sat down and started talking, getting to know each other. I learned that Jaden and Mads have been best friends for about a year. She was really sweet and fun to be around, but not gonna lie I felt a little threatened. I mean she's gorgeous, and like what if Jaden likes her more than me. She's perfect. Wait what am I thinking? Jaden and I literally just kissed and if he was interested in her I'm sure they'd already be dating. Hopefully I have nothing to worry about.

I mean I got a little relief from everything Mads was telling me. She told me that Jaden's been talking about me for weeks and about how he was heartbroken when I got with Jace. She even told me that recently he had been asking her for advice about me and that he was planning on asking me out. Mads and I spent about an hour talking before Jaden came up to us. "I don't mean to interrupt but Mads, Kayla and Maya are looking for you. They said they're leaving." He told her. "Okay well it was so great meeting you." She said standing up and giving me a hug. "You too." I give her a smile then she walks into the house.

"So?" Jaden asks with a worried look on his face. "I love her." I say and smile at him. He sighs and the expression on his face turns into relief. He pulls me into a hug. "Oh thank God. I don't know what I would've done if you guys hated each other." He said. I laughed "You have nothing to worry about, we got along right away." I tell him. We pull away and he grabs my hand and pulls me inside. Everyone had pretty much left by now. We walked into the living room and Griffin and Kio were cleaning up. Bryce was passed out on the couch, Josh and Noelani were cleaning in the kitchen, Claryssa was passed out in the kitchen and we weren't sure where everyone else was.
