Cole

The monitors beep continuously, mocking my heart beat. It's showing that Sienna is still alive, so I'm grateful for it, but I wish she was awake. Theo and Gene work together behind the computer, Joya occasionally putting in her input. Dom stands against the wall, his eyes observing the room carefully. Dean is by the see-through refrigerator, a face resembling Sienna's can be seen in it. I'm sitting beside the table where Sienna is lying.

I caress her sleeping face and desperately hope she's okay. Watching her struggle with a battle we can't help her with has been torture. What's even more tortuous is that we can see how hard she's fighting on her face.

Though I enjoyed my small time with Sienna, it wasn't enough. There will never be enough time with Sienna and the guys. Especially with the way things are going right now. I have faith in Gene and Theo's work, but Asma has blocked us and messed up all our plans every time we thought we were getting somewhere.

"Theo and I came up with this," Gene says, holding up a circular device. "With it, we should be able to see Sienna and Asma in their mind."

He puts the device on Sienna's head. Wires connect the device to a computer screen. Theo turns it around so all of us can see it.

The screen flickers before a gold, bright room appears. A brown figure stands in a brown circle. The figure jerks about with agitation, constantly moving around in the brown circle. Almost as if they're looking for something.

"You look so tired," another person says. Based on the emotionlessly, cold tone, it's Asma. "Lemme take control while you get some sleep."

"No," the brown figure, who I'm guessing is Sienna, responds. Her voice shows just how tired she is.

A gold figure appears behind Sienna, and I almost yell for her to look out. Thankfully, Sienna feels her and she turns around and pulls what must be Asma over her head, effectively keeping her out of her circle.

"Wow, so that's Asma huh?" Gene observes with wonder.

I don't find anything wonderous about this at all. "Help her," I demand, gritting my teeth.

"Right of course," he says hurriedly, typing in his computer.

Someone begins to rub my shoulders and I turn around, giving a slight grimace to Dean.

"Baby, you can't yell at him. He's trying to help," he chuckles quietly, amusement in his eyes. I know he is, but we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place if he had shut up and though. Not wanting to argue though, I nod my head in agreement and look back at Sienna. I thought the sight would calm me, but instead it makes me angry again.

"When can we start?" I ask impatiently.

"We can now," Theo announces, opening up a refrigerator. A body identical to Sienna's lies in it. If it weren't for the blonde hair and short stature, I'd think it was her.

Gene grabs the body with a frown and lays it on the table next to Sienna. He hooks up a device similar to the one on Sienna's head. "Hopefully Asma likes this body," he grunts making me roll my eyes.

Who gives a damn what she likes?

I turn my eyes back to the screen showing Sienna and Asma going at it. Watching Sienna hold her own has me in awe. This woman, the love of my life, is clearly exhausted, yet she continues to fight. Asma never lets up, but the determined Sienna doesn't either.

When this is all over, we're going to sleep for weeks.

"Starting the process now," Gene announces, pressing a few buttons. "We need to make sure we latch onto Asma's conscious though, so I need everyone to be quiet and I need Theo's steady hands."

We all nod solemnly, the tension in the air thick with anxiety and impatience. My eyes are glued to Theo's nimble fingers as they glide across the screen and keyboard. I chance a glance at Sienna to see her face still twisted with concentration.

"You got this babe," I whisper to myself, though it's directed to both Theo and Sienna. They're some of the smartest people I know and I know they'll pull through.

"Now, Theo," Gene says, prompting Theo to press a glowing yellow button. The two head pieces connected to the bodies begin to glow and I watch on the screen as Asma's body begins to disappear. I look over at the other screen, the one showing the mind of Asma's body, and squint at the fuzzy figure now appearing.

"Did it work?" Deans ask excitedly. I hold my breath, not wanting to rejoice to early.

He gets his answer though when golden eyes fly open and a blonde woman flies off the table.

"Woah, hey calm down," Dom urges with his hands out.

Asma's eyes are manic as she observes us carefully. They flit over to Sienna and a snarl forms on her lips.

"No way in hell," I say, standing guard in front of the still sleeping Sienna. Asma eyes her like a lion eyeing their prey and I wonder if this was a good idea.

"Asma, you're free," Dom starts, his voice stern, "Now leave."

"I have unfinished business," she snaps. She leaps for me at the same moment that I go for my gun, but surprisingly, she doesn't touch me. Instead, my body is jerked to the side roughly. I catch myself and watch Asma, her arms grasped firmly in Sienna's hands.

Seeing my love facing the woman who's hated her for years is terrifying. I thought watching them fight  mentally was bad, this is much worse. And these two individuals outrank our skills by so much that if we step in, we'll get hurt immediately.

"Hey, little bitch," Asma says with a cackle. "I've been waiting for this."

Sienna doesn't respond and she kicks Asma away from her. She lunges for Asma who dodges and kicks Sienna in the side. They exchange blow for blow, but it's obvious who's struggling. Sienna is worn out from fighting for so long, and I know she desperately wants to rest.

Somehow, Sienna manages to throw Asma into the table with large tools. A smaller computer breaks and electrocutes Asma.

"You got this, Sienna," Dean encourages.

She doesn't look at him though. Instead, her eyes flick to outside and panics sets into her face. "They're here," she says, exhaustion making her voice weak. She meets Dom's eyes and gestures to outside. "They're here. Leader Hill and General Ryan are here."

Her words of doom are followed by the sound of bagging on the front door.

"Damn't" Dom shouts, pulling out his guns and heading for the door. "Let's go."

Dean follows without hesitation and while Theo does hesitate, he grabs the gun off Gene's table and goes out the door.

"What about you?" I ask Sienna who's breathing heavily. It's obvious that I can't really help her, but going outside feels like I'm abandoning her. But then would I be abandoning my guys?

"Go, Cole," she responds harshly, turning her back to me and looking at Asma. The blonde woman's legs shake as she tries to stand.

With no more time to think, I run up the stairs and hope that she's okay.
