I look over at my men who are talking amongst themselves. Automatically, I smile at how happy I am with them. These last few months have been hell, but it will all be worth it when we're free and happy.

"I admire how much you care for them," Joya says, drawing my attention.

My grin grows bigger and I gesture to the three men. "They make it easy."

She smiles and sits next to me at the table. I give her my full attention and listen to what she's saying. "I'm sorry if I'm overstepping, but how does your... dynamic work? How could you give your heart to each of them equally?"

On instinct, I shrug. It's what I normally do whenever someone asks me this question. "I don't really know how the heart works," I begin. "But I know that whenever I think about one of them leaving, I feel the same unmistakable pain. I could never prefer one of them over the other and I want all of them in my life." I shrug again and sigh. "I love them."

Joya is quiet like she's trying to decipher what I'm saying. She opens her mouth to speak, but Gene runs into the room looking panicked. My defenses raise and immediately I know something's wrong with Sienna.

"Sienna passed out," he informs us.

We all rush to the basement as Theo shoots question after question. I'm not worried about it though and I instead focus on getting to Sienna as fast as possible. When we get to her, she's frozen on the floor. He didn't even have the decency to get her up. I gather her in my arms and study her face.

"Hey, Sienna," I say, shaking her slightly. "It's me, Princess. Wake up."

Theo paces the floor with a thoughtful look. "This has never happened before. If she was fighting Asma, she would still be awake."

I shake my head and continue to try to wake Sienna up. Her eyelids flicker, but she doesn't budge.

"What happened?" Cole demands, his tone icy. I hope someone is there to calm him down because I can't focus right now.

It's unbelievable. We were doing so good. Things were finally starting to look up and of course they fall into pieces when we were so close. All I can think about is how unfair this is and how much that... bitch Asma pisses me off.

"We were talking and I was running tests when I talked to her about the Key. She asked what I needed the Key for and I told her it was for deactivating Asma. Then she passed out and hasn't moved since," Gene explains.

Anger fills my body at how stupid this 'incredibly intelligent' scientist is. His simple sentence put her in danger and we could lose her all over again. That's when I realize I'm losing my head. I'm jumping to conclusions and thinking of the worst outcome. I've got to get it together for my men, Sienna, and myself.

"Check her vitals," I say, picking Sienna up and putting her on the table. "Make sure she's okay physically, and then we'll figure out how she's doing mentally."

Joya starts hooking up lines to Sienna while Gene types on his computer. I glance at my men who all reflect my emotions. We're all terrified and worried. I was so used to Sienna fighting Asma while still being awake, and this is entirely something different. We're completely in the dark and I'm unsure of what to do.

"She's okay," Gene sighs. "Her brain activity is off-the-charts, but physically she's alright. We need to calm her down though before her body shuts down from the stress."

"Calm her down how?" Both Dean and Cole snap. They're both entirely too angry, but I can't calm them down right now when I, myself, am pissed at Gene, too.

His eyes flick across the screen. "We can put her to sleep. That should calm her brain down enough but it won't shut it down."

"We can't do that," Theo immediately protests. "We don't know if that would put Asma to sleep or Sienna to sleep. We gotta figure something else out."

It goes silent as the two scientists steam.

"What about the fake plan?" Dean suggests.

A light bulb goes off in Theo's head while Gene and Joya look confused.

"Fake plan?" Joya frowns.

"We told Asma and Sienna that we were here to separate them into different bodies," Theo recounts. "It's not entirely impossible, but it might be dangerous."

Gene's eyes light up and his fingers fly across his keyboard. "That would be dangerous yes, but if accomplished it would be the greatest accomplishment ever. Imagine-"

"Sienna is not some experiment for you to win a trophy for," Cole snaps.

I entirely agree, but if Gene helps us, then I don't care why he's doing what he's doing.

"Honey," Joya says, a warning in her tone, "Now is not the time for your mind to wander. We've gotta save Sienna's life. Do you think we could do it?"

Gene waves Joya off and stares at his computer. "We would need a new body for Asma. Our life-pods are in that warehouse, Joya, and on top of that it would take a week to build the body. There's also a lot of science and genetics that Theo and I would have to decipher. However, I do believe it's not impossible and it's worth a try."

"We'll try anything," I say, making eye contact with Theo, Dean and Cole. They all seem on board with me and I turn to Gene. "What's important is that we get Asma away from Sienna."

Joya looks at her husband who seems to understand the dire situation. "I'm going to get the pod now. It's quite heavy. So, could two of you accompany me?"

I gesture for Dean and Cole to go, knowing that they need to get out of the house. Gene needs Theo and I need to be here just in case Asma gets in control.

It's obvious Cole doesn't like it, but he follows Joya and Dean anyways. I look at Gene who's watching our interactions.

"What are you waiting for?" I question him. My voice comes out angrier than I mean it to. "Get started... please," I add politely. We honestly need to be nicer to Gene. He could kick us out of his house and there's nothing we could do about it.

I hate asking people for help.

Gene stares at me for a while before getting started. I look over at Theo who's dazed.

"Theo," I call out to him and he comes to his senses. He goes by Gene's side and they begin working.

Let's save Sienna one last time.
