Sienna
I let my sword glide smoothly through the air and it slices the dummy in half. I twirl slightly and stab another while cutting off the head of another. The sack drops to the ground and Asma grins in my head.
"Almost sounds as good as a head rolling."
I roll my eyes at her sadism, but I have to admit, sword fighting feels amazing.
"Practicing to kill me?" Mia asks coming in.
She walks across Cole's training room and I frown. What is she doing here?
"I don't know and I don't care. This is the perfect time to strike."
We're not killing her.
"Why?"
Because that's unethical.
"Fuck, ethics."
"Hellooo," Mia drawls, waving her hand in front of my face.
I step back from her unsettling presence. "Why are you here?"
"I was here to ask Cole if he'd go on a date with me."
It takes a few minutes for her words to register. I mean, does she realize how delusional she sounds? At this point, she's just sad. Asma cackles loud in my head as I let out a few laughs myself.
"This is dumb, Mia. I mean seriously, why would we go on a date with you if he's Dom's," I start counting on my fingers, "Theo's, Dean's and my boyfriend?" I wait for her logic around that.
"What do you mean he's their boyfriend? That's not possible. What'd you do to them?" She asks like I'm the culprit.
"I let them do whatever they wanted. They love each other and you stopped them from being together. Newsflash, Mia, they're gay for each other." I wait for it to go through Mia's head.
"How can they like each other when they were with me?"
"There's a thing called liking both genders, no genders, or whatever gender they want. You're too absorbed in a fantasy that you don't see how much they love each other everyday. Why are you trying to take that away from them?" My voice is soft as I ask a genuine question.
"I'm not! I just want them!" She stalks to me and I stand my ground. I'm not scared of Mia. If she attacks, I won't kill her, but I'll fight for my life.
"Mia!" I yell as she tackles me to the ground. I maintain my hold on my sword and use my momentum to pin her down. Felie is dangerously close to cutting Mia's neck.
"Do it," she growls at me.
"Yes."
"No," I say to both the woman under me and the woman in my head.
"Do it. I've always known you're a killer."
"No, Mia."
I try to pull back, but a force pushed me towards Mia. The presses against her neck and fear flashes in her eyes.
"I'll do it."
Asma, stop.
"What's going on in here?" Cole demands coming into the room.
Asma control over me lessens and I fly off of Mia. I let the sword drop, not wanting to endanger anyone else, and let out a sigh, my head dropping.
"She tried to kill me!" Mia screams hysterically.
"No I didn't." That's technically true. Asma is the one who wants to end Mia's life so badly.
Why do you hate her so much?
"She's always been a jealous bitch."
So? Let her be.
"She needs to leave. Next time, Cole won't be able to stop me."
For some reason, I'm scared. If Asma kills Mia, not only does that spill my secret, but that means she's strong enough to take over. How was she able to do that anyways?
"Practice."
I have no idea what that means and it's pushed to the back of my mind when Cole's handsome face pops up over my head.
"Dimples?"
"Hey, babe," I greet standing up. I dust myself off and glare at the woman on the floor.
Cole wraps an arm around my waist possessively. He glares at the woman with me. "What are you doing here?"
"I was looking for you when this psycho attacked me!" She's still yelling unnecessarily loud.
"She was going to ask you out on a date." I tilt my head back to look at him. "So what do ya say?"
"Hell no!" He curses at her. "We ignored your delusions for this long, now they're too much. You need to leave, Mia." Cole presses me to turn around and I don't resist.
"I still don't know where I'm going," she exclaims pathetically.
"Away from here," I shout behind me and Cole continues to push me out the training room. Once in the main room of his floor, he turns me around and bends down to grab my face.
"You okay, Dimples?"
"Oh, yeah. I'm fine." His eyes inspect my face deeply making my smile wobble. His inquisitive gaze makes me feel like he can see right through.
"Okay. I don't want you to be alone with her ever again, okay?"
"Okay, but why?"
He sighs and gently pushes me to his mirror. My eyes widen when I see my new appearance. A front patch of my hair is now a light blonde. I run my hair through the blonde locks, frowning.
"I think she's stressing you out. We told her to leave, but we don't know if she will. So for now, stay away. Okay?" Cole's voice is full of soft concern. He gently twirls a curl.
"Yeah I'll stay away." I grin at his playing with my hair. "I love you, Cole."
I stand on my toes to kiss him. When we pull apart, we're breathless. "I love you too, Dimples. You know, Mia's idea wasn't so bad," he says making me confused.
"What?"
"Going on a date. Will you go on a date with me?"
"Say yes!"
I was going to.
"Don't ruin this."
What is wrong with you? Let me talk to him.
"Hurry."
"Yes," I smile and he picks me up, allowing my legs to wrap around his waist.
"I have the perfect idea," his lips are upturned slightly. His eyes aren't sparkly and he doesn't radiate energetic energy, but anyone who knows Cole knows he's excited. Crows feet are by his eyes and he can't take his eyes off of me.
"I'm sure it is."
