After I slept for a few hours I felt better and my brain was working again. And what was the first thing I did? Right, I updated myself on Zhan over the Internet.

Fortunately his hardcore fans are always well informed and often find things that others overlook. Unfortunately, there are also many hardcore fans who spread rumors.

For example, there is a rumor that my Zhan is in a relationship with someone from his group. Right now I hope that it's really just a rumor. Because you can never be sure in show business.

I had already noticed last night how close the members of XNINE are and that they don't shy from any physical contact. One of them strokes Zhan's forearm during the interview, another one hugged him all the time and yet another one claimed in a video that I saw about a game of them, that he was the only one who could make Zhan laugh.

I know from my own experience that a lot of this is pure fan service. But not everything. You never know what is real and what is played. At least not unless you're playing like a complete idiot.

It's time for field research. I have to find out what's true and what's not true about the rumors. Zhan in a relationship with a man who's not me? That can't be. I won't let that happen.

After I freshened up and got dressed, I went downstairs to the basement where I was expecting my group for their special training. But none of my people had been there.

Instead I saw the members of XNINE and their dance trainer. No wonder my Zhan can't do better with such a coach! The short moment I watched was enough to see that the choice of the dance trainer was wrong.

Zhan wasn't with the group. I think he's probably resting in his room. At least I hope so, because after all the doctor said he needs to rest.

Because I didn't want to watch any more and was still looking for my people, I went to the restaurant of the hotel and found them there. They were sitting there together with our manager talking about some incident after the show.

Apparently, two of the music groups were expelled after they got into a physical fight behind the scenes. That's exactly what I meant, just because you're a rival on stage doesn't mean that it has to be the same backstage.

Our manager explained to me in the short version what happened and also that there will be no replacement for the two groups. So there are only eight groups left in the race. I was afraid that we only have eight weeks now, but instead the production channel had another idea.

"Well, I was asked if we would be interested in participating in the competition for sixteen weeks instead of the planned ten weeks. Apparently they have a lot of good ideas. So, in the first eight weeks, two performances per evening are planned. The first one as a group as you are. The second performance is a duo. The viewers will then decide which of you, for example, will form a duo with someone from another group. And then you perform together. The viewers decide online and the same evening it will be announced which two singers should form a duo. You then have one week to choose a song together, rehearse it together and perform it at the next live show. And in the first eight weeks nobody will have to leave. The viewers will then decide in a voting which duo they liked the most and the two of them will then win a prize."

"And what answer did you give them?" Seungyoun asked and smiled at me.

"I have accepted. It just fits into the schedule and it's a great opportunity we shouldn't miss."

"So we're here another 16 weeks?" I'm asking just to make sure.

"Yes, Yibo. That means you have 16 weeks to chase your Xiao Zhan. Considering you put the competition first!"

"Yes, of course I do. You know me, losing is not an option for me."

I already imagine internally what it would be like to form a duo with Zhan. To spend a whole week with him and spend a lot of time together. Hopefully the viewers want to see him and me together as a duo.

And if so, I'll show him how to dance. Or he sings and I dance. God I'm so excited. Suddenly there seem to be many opportunities coming up and I definitely want to use them.

"One more question. Can you be chosen again as a duo? Or can you only do it once?" I want to know.

"You can do this as often as the viewers want. So it' s not limited to one time." Replies the manager.

He looks again at the papers in front of him and then says: "Well, the duos can be elected from noon onwards. And then, during the live show, it will be announced which duo will perform together next week."

Maybe I should give my fans a tip? I need to make sure I can form a duo with Zhan. And preferably every week. That way I have plenty of time to win Zhan over.

I believe that fate wants to help Zhan and me. And if not, I have to help the fate. Either way, I will win Zhan's heart for me!

After the meeting, we had dinner and just before we finished, the other groups also came to the restaurant. Apparently, the production team had placed all the groups in this hotel.

And also XNINE are finally here and this time Zhan is with them. I look directly at him and he seems to feel my eyes on him, because suddenly he looks at me and nods. I nod back and wish I could sit with him at the table now.

We have come to our dessert, a fresh salad, when I see a woman from the music group here from China, walking towards Zhan. She puts her arm over his shoulder and talks to him something.

I would love to grab her by the hair and pull her away from him. But I continue to watch it all quietly.

Shaking his head, nodding, some answers. And suddenly Zhan looks at me and my heart almost stops. He looks at the woman, shakes his head and pushes her arm off his shoulder.

But she won't give up with whatever it is she's trying to do. And squats down next to him. And I don't know why, but Zhan keeps eye contact with me the whole time.

"I'm gonna go help your future husband. So you can keep staring at him in peace." Says Li Wenhan and disappears towards the table of the group XNINE. I see Wenhan talking to the woman and he takes her away from the group table.

When Wenhan is back he looks at me and grins. "Apparently, she has received a rejection from your future husband and refused to accept it." He explains it to me.

"And what did you say to her?" I ask.

"Ah, you don't mind if I call Zhan your future husband, do you?"

"Huh? What?"

"It's okay. I told her to think about her image and accept Xiao Zhan's no before any fan notices and rumors start spreading."

"Fine. Wait a minute, did you just call ZhanZhan my future husband?"

Future husband? That doesn't sound so bad either. But I have to make friends with him first before I can even think straight.

"You know what? If I really should marry him someday, I'll make you my best man." I finally say so and I grin. Of course I grin, because Xiao Zhan keeps looking over at me.
